When I drink it, I get a pounding headache. Why is that?

No, because I do not drink it;
but, I searched 'aspartame "crystal light" headaches'

Crystal Light doesn't give me headaches. Are you susceptible to sweet drinks? My spouse and I have drank it for years with no problems. When you quit drinking it, do you still get headaches with any other drink? My suggestion is if you feel that Crystal Light is giving you headaches, don't drink it! Life is too short for headaches. I don't do headaches. Not on the top of my list to have to suffer with.

I don't think it has anything to do with the Crystal Light. It doesn't have any caffeine or sugar so basically it's water. Try some ibuprofen or acetaminophen and call a dr if it persists over a few days
