I am looking for something that will supress my appetite. I dont want to take something that is going to make me "jittery," like an amphetimine. If anyone knows of anything that works, please, let me know. Thanks!

I was thinking about getting my tongue pierced. I was just wondering if anyone out there knows how long it takes for the swelling to go down, and also if anyone knows what the proper ways of treating the piercing are until it heals.

It's happened within the past 15 minutes. It has almost swollen shut. I just rubbed my eye (like I do every night...) and about 5-10 minutes later, my eye is hurting, and I can't see out of it. I checked to see if it was an eyelash or something, but I can find anything. I also flushed my eye with some eye drops and it didn't do anything at all. Could someone please help me, or am I just over- reacting?

I have been really sad or depressed for a long time now at least since last year or somewhere around there. Now it seems like things are getting worse. I cry about everything, sleep a lot, don't want to do anything, and sometimes over eat or not eat at all. I can't talk to anyone about anything. I want help but I can't talk to anyone. Not even my friends or parents. They are too judging. Is there anything I can do to help myself?

First my eyes were kind of feeling irritated and then they started watering, and now my vision in mainly my right eye (some on the left) is cloudy in light and there are rainbows and halos around light, too. There is nothing in my eyes, and i've rubbed them, but nothing has changed and it seems like it's getting a little worse. Does anyone know what all this could mean and if it's serious?

My cardiolgist told me to start taking fish oil tablets every day, so I did for awhile then started slacking. Now I have to go see him on 4/18 and explain why I stopped taking them. I just could never remember to take them.

I'm 15, and lately i've been feeling tired Quite frequently. i normally get around 6-7 hours a sleep on a weekday and weekends 9-10 hours. My mom tells me that i need 10-12 hours of sleep a night and friends say 7 hours is a good amount.

I personally hate sleeping(unless i am already sleeping then i don't wanna wake up lol) so i usually get 6 hours of sleep a night.

Now i'm wondering if i need to start increasing the amount of sleep, or am i just going through a growth spurt and my body just needa little bit of extra energy.

Thanks fer any help

After a hard night of drinking, some say that the smell comes out of your pores. This doesn't seem right to me, as alcohol generally leaves the body through the lungs. Is that just nasty breath that one smells on a drunk?

i thought this would heal on its own, i had no nasal conjestion or was not spitting up phlegm. as the days went by i got worse, i had sore legs and arms, an extremely sore throat and my ears were conjested as i could not hear properly, i went to see the doctor and was told i had a high temp, and my chest sounded very bad, as i was up most night coughing and had no appetite. i was prescribed prednisolone and amoxyllin. alas the aches have gone but my chest still sounds quite bad, i have taken all the steroids and have a few anti biotics left to take, but i have noticed i have developed a bit of a rash on one arm and on the palms of both my hands, could this be to do with the medication or should i seek medical attention?

I have a friend at work that didn't know what a hot water bottle was until I told him yesterday. He claims that makes me a citified softie. My argument is that a hot water bottle is a country device since country people work harder that city people, and thereby need the bottle to ease aching muscles. So please, this is an uncontrolled study. Knowledge of hot water bottles? Use of hot water bottles? Do you consider yourself a city-slicker or a country-bumpkin?

i fear for my grandchildren. my daughter and son in law and 3 grandchildren live with my son in laws parents. the house is disgustingly filthy, they have lots of cats and dogs. the animals do their business where ever they want in the home and the cats constantly scratch the babies. the brother in law is always hitting the kids, the house is a single family home but yet has 9 people living in it. the kids do not have their own room. nobody works in the home but my daughter. when i sit for the grandkids they always have bruises. there is no smoke detectors in the home. the home is very old and they don't even have a carbon monoxide alarm. my daughter and son in law are not the problem, the in laws are. my daughter makes sure they have food, clothes and keeps up on the medical and dental for them. they are seen reguarly by doctors. due to living under these conditions the children can't even talk. they are 6,3 and1. the father in law wont let them move. he said he will take kids away.
