Of course they're going to say vitamin supplements don't work, they can't make any money off of them, and doctors are nothing but pharmaceutical prostitutes anyway.

Yea, they're not quick to warn you of the many dangers of the plethora of poison pills they prescribe, but oh, those vitamin supplements....Unbelievable.

What type of qualifications do you have to have to work at a tanning salon? I know at the salon I go to now, they have plaques on the wall showing where they arre qualified to work there. Where do you do this and how long/how much does this cost?

I have a dull ache in my lower right abdomen (flank). It occured a few weeks ago, lasting for a few days, and has since returned. I only noticed it this morning, and has continued for about 6 hours so far. Any ideas as to what this is? The pain is certainly bearable, not excrutiating at all; that said, it's uncomfortable, and mildly scary. Is this something I should be concerned about?

I really just need something to moisturize my eyes, not get the "red" out. My dad told me that Visine is bad for you if you have high blood pressure and that is what I have been using. I would like to try to stay away from that because I am on the edge of having high blood pressure. Thanks.

this happened to him. I try to encourage that things will get better and with physical therapy things could. My Dad has had a negative outlook on things before the stroke and since the stroke it has gotten worse. He has been getting mad at hospital staff. (mean to them.He tells them you don't know what I want so leave. Here's my question When I go to visit he says why are you so happy I say I 'm not I amtrying to be upbeat for you Dad. He said don't be. I find it hard to visit for hours at a time. I keep telling him I love him and hold his hand. He says you don't really want to hold my hand. I said yes I do. Why would he doubt my love for him any suggestions on this? Thanks in advance

Well I have felt for a long time that something is wrong- I often feel tired and dizzy for no reason. Sometimes when I am trying to concentrate I feel tired and find it really hard. When I am still a lot (studying, working on school stuff) I get dizzy and just feel exhausted. When I go for walks they tire me out. I often find it hard to concentrate on conversations and work because I feel so tired. I get more than eight hours sleep a night so that isnt it. I recently found out I have a very slow heartbeat (52-54 beats/min at rest) Could this be a reason? I mentioned it to my family and they laughed. I want to go to the doctor but im scared that they will laugh at me. I need to feel better now though because I have my final exams coming up. Could this be a possible cause or is it all in my head?

so i've been confused with this random leg pain, it occurs all at random times like if I'm sitting, laying down or walking. I feel these little spikes of pain up and below my knee. Sometimes it's when I wake up or before I fall asleep.

But it's like a pulsing pain, it's doesn't stay but it goes away and then comes back. My family is not known for any knee related symptoms. It's been happening for awhile now.

I have been getting good sleep and my legs should be ok, is it I need to get more exercise? blood flow something?

thanks guys.

I've been playing basketball for about a month now after not playing for some time. Everything was fine until a few days ago, I woke up after playing basketball and my knee had fluid on it. I played again this week and it flared up again. Do I have to have it drained or is there something else I can do?

Thanks for your help :)

My son is 7 months old and has had an ear infection for over a month. I fist was aware of it because on march 1st puss was running out of his ear(the only sign i had due to the fact he never cries unless hungry). He's been on antibiotics for 4 weeks and everytime he gets done with a round of antibiotics he has the puss running out again and thats only in a day or so after the last dose. Sinse hes on the antibiotics hes had a horrible yeast infection. Hes also had the drops and still the infection persists.
So my question is for someone who had dealt with this kind of thing. What should i be asking the doctors? What should i expect them to do? My middle child has tubes cuz of the shear number of infections she had but his is a constant one. Mind you we dont smoke and dont keep an animal in the house. I have no clue why he is keeping this infection. Any advice would be welcome even if you think it might be insignificant.

Hello, I eat at a college cafeteria twice a day (lucky me...). Today they were serving Chicken and Dumplings. When i got to the table, I took a bite of dumpling (no chicken, expect for maybe really small pieces in the sauce). My friend got to the table and told me that she didn't get the meal because the dumplings looked pink. Sure enough, I stuck my fork into one and it was slightly pink throughout. I didn't eat any chicken after that, but wihtout thinking, I licked the fork before I threw the food away. I am now having slight stomach pains (but I think they might just be in mind because I am worried). What are the chances of my getting sick? Also, I am going to go eat again in a little while...are there any foods I should avoid right now?

I have a boyfriend who works security/barback @ a local pub and his shifts usually run no more than 6 hours. I understand that his job can be physically straining but I still don't think he would have to sleep 9 hours (or more) to recuperate. Is this healthy?

I have heard read many opinions on cracking knuckles. Some people say it is bad, while some people say it is beneficial/not harmful.

10 points to whoever can provide an insightful opinion and also explain what is happening that makes the popping noise?
Also what about back cracking?

thanks
