hi,

I'm wondering why sometimes I'm having trouble breathing when I sleep at night. I'll wake up with a "hard" chest (i can feel my chest was hard) and there's kinda "nervous" feeling (I'm thinking like I'm having an heart attack) then I can feel that I'm having a shortness of breath.

But when I stand up, had a mug of hot milk and do something that will make me busy (like composing this question for example), my chest will return to it's normal, relaxed mode. As in I'll start to feel very very very as in very fine.

Have you experienced this before? What could be the source and how can it be prevented?

But when I take a nap, I don't experience this. I'm only experiencing it during night at late time (1 - 3am).

Now I'm starting to have a fear to going to sleep for I might experience this not so pleasant feeling again...

Thanks a lot.

Since splitting with my husband some 14 months ago (over it too by the way) I just can't seem to get into a good sleeping pattern. I have worries, concerns, had some health issues and I work far too many hours until late at night, this is an essential. Anyone got any good ideas to help me get a good nights sleep please. Everything seems a mountain when you are tired.

Last year I had heart problems and not long afterwards I started gaining weight, it seems to be all fluid, I've gone up three clothing sizes (soon it will be four) and I just keep gaining weight. I've been tested for metabolism, thyroid and cortisol levels and they're all fine. My doctor's run out of ideas and I'm desperate, I can't keep gaining weight with no end in sight. I'm on fluid pills but they only get rid of a small amount of the fluid. I'm going to see every doctor I can until I find an answer, but I thought maybe someone here might have had a similar problem or know of something that could help? I'm really desperate! I can't exercise because I've got Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and I had a heart test last year that said my heart was now ok. I just don't know what's causing all this rapid weight gain and how to get rid of it. My whole body hurts because of it.

I am a single caucasian 25 year old with no children. I have a couple of disorders including Mitral Valve Prolapse, Migraines, and Anxiety Disorder. I wake up in the morning with my heart pounding and when I walk around I am dizzy. I also am very shaky inside almost all the time and have migraines. I've been on different medications and none have really helped and some made me worse. I have been through numerous jobs because my condition makes me unreliable. So now I don't work. This has controlled my life for too long. I need to see a doctor to resolve this issue. If anyone knows where you can receive free care please let me know. Thanks.

I'm going in for surgery on Monday to have my gallbladder removed, Up until this point in my life nothing has ever been wrong with me.. I've never broken a bone, Never had surgery, Basically this is my first time going to the hospital for anything other than to visit someone.. And i have such a huge fear of not waking up from the anesthesia. Is it a common thing to not wake up from anesthesia? It has me so freaked out .

no, my daughter has not peed in the middle of the road but it seems that her eye is bothering her and she thinks it may be a sty. I have heard a wet tea bag on the eye or the sulfur head of a match will help, who has others that are tried and true? Please help, she is MISERABLE.

My 12 year old step son is having his appendix removed later today. We were due to have him for the Easter holidays, his mother says that he can still be picked up on Thursday (she is going away for Easter with her new boyfriend).
Should we still have him for the holidays, the reasons I am concerned, is that we live a 3 1/2 hour journey from his home, and we have 2 quite boisterous, children (4 and 7 years), I am worried that the journey will be uncomfortable for him. How long will his recovery take?

I was at Staples with my aunt waiting for her to finish doing all her copies and as I was standing I all of a sudden got really dizzy. I became VERY fatigue. It was to the point where i couldn't stand up anymore and the most important thing in the world was to go to sleep. I tried fighting it, but then collasped to the ground. I couldn't see properly, just a bunch of swirls and as the minutes passed by it got worse. Also, my hearing was going away and as I was trying to tell my brother that something was wrong I couldn't hear him, yet alone myself, speaking. It was a like loud ringing noise was taking over. I had him walk me to the car where I slept for 10 minutes and afterwards I felt perfectly normal. This exact same thing has happened when I was 11, then 14, 16, and I am now 17. Is it bad that this is already going on? I think I remember someone telling me it could be low blood pressure or sugar. And It is low or high that leads to Diabetes?
Thanks.

Sometimes all of a sudden I feel weak and have to get something sweet like a fruit cup or a glass of chocolate milk and sit down for about 20 minutes for the feeling to subside. I feel shaky and weak. After I get the sugar in my syatem I'm back to normal. Could this be something serious or is it normal? Could it be diabetes?

This has happened on my way home from class before and I've had to pull over to a grocery store and get a banana and chocolate milk because otherwise I didn't feel like I could make it home safely.

first of all don't tell me to "see a doctor" because i already have and the only thing he can do is tell me to take some tests and i can't afford anymore. with that being said, i get these really bad stabbing pains in my chest (to the left) and they are only every once in a while. i am 18 years old and my heart is perfect and i have done a bunch of tests so it's not that. but, i do have gas all the time (i burp a lot all of the time) and im almost convinced that it is a gas problem. right now as i am writing though, i am experiencing my worst "attack" of this and it hurts like hell. usually its just a few quick stabs because i lean to the left of down but this time it hurst when i take a deep breath and just in general. it hurst REALLY BAD when i take a deep breath. could it be something other than gas? my ribs on the left are deformed and cave in a little, could they be pinching together or something like that? has anyone ever experienced this, something similar or stabbing pains?

I sometimes get sharp pains around the heart and upper back to the left. They arent very painful, last for less then a second, does anyone know what could cause this? What it might be?....I am going to the doctor on Friday and am going to ask him, just curious if anyone might have any idea. Thanks.

Whenever I have too much sugar (such as in hot chocolate or a cinnamon bun) I feel really sick. If I don't eat for a few hours I have really bad headaches....could this be related to my blood sugar at all? Should I be concerned?

I like how Adderall makes me feel so I tried getting prescription at my doctor office. I told him I had ADD. He was in the middle of asking me a question and I blurted out "Meatloaf on funnel cakes mixed with sponge bob squarepants and a supernova".

He said that this behavior is more indicative of psychosis than ADD and basically told me I was pulling his chain. He then stopped the appointment. What can I do to sue him for malpractice and discrimination?

I have rheumatoid arthritis, and because I take methotrexate I have blood drawn monthly to check for liver damage.

On Saturday, I went for my lab work but wouldn't bleed. My blood was thick-almost like syrup-and I was unable to give the required 2 tubes.

I'm normally a bleeder, and this was highly unusual.

The other drugs I take are 5 mgs prednisone, zantac, and 2400 mgs of ibuprofen daily.
