I sometimes get sharp pains around the heart and upper back to the left. They arent very painful, last for less then a second, does anyone know what could cause this? What it might be?....I am going to the doctor on Friday and am going to ask him, just curious if anyone might have any idea. Thanks.

As much as it could only be gas pains., you should still go to the doctors to have an EKG. and check to see if you are having back spasms. You may need a muscle relaxer., or anti-inflammatory

Could be a warning of pending heart attack or just gas, its nothing to play with I'm glad your seeing the Dr. Good Luck.

At times, we get gas pains and they can be really severe, making you think it is a heart attack. I wouldn't needlessly worry as many things can cause this pain. Good luck.
