no, my daughter has not peed in the middle of the road but it seems that her eye is bothering her and she thinks it may be a sty. I have heard a wet tea bag on the eye or the sulfur head of a match will help, who has others that are tried and true? Please help, she is MISERABLE.

Stye's are caused by plugged tear duct glands and the eye lid has plenty of them.
The most common home remedy is to put as hot a compress as you can stand on the affected area several times a day and or as continuously as you can.
I prefer to use one at night while sleeping and getting up ocassionally throughout the night to refresh it's heat. I generally put a wet hand towel into a baggie and heat it in the microwave. I then seal the bag and wrap it in another hand towel so I don't burn myself.
Usually by morning my stye has come to a white "head" and now I take a sterile needle (sewing needle held in a flame for a few seconds) and prick that "head" and let it drain.(Unless it drains by it'self.)
It is this infection that causes the pain.
If this does not relieve your daughters pain, she may need to see an Ophthalmologist who can prescribe an antibiotic.
Now if this problem is under her eyelid, she may be developing what is called a Chalzion which is a plugged oil gland. It will seem as a hard knot in the eye lid.
You can try the hot compress solution and hope it works but you can not see the "head" unless you turn up the eyelid and pricking it to let it drain would be too painful and too hard so you should really see an Ophthalmologist for this problem.

Keep me posted.

GOOD LUCK

I like to get a washcloth wet with warm/hot water and then gently place it over the area until it doesn't feel hot anymore. Resoak it and place it back on your eye 2 or 3 more times then toss the cloth in the laundry. That's always gotten rid of my stys in a couple of days.
