Had a sore throat yesterday, glands were all swollen this morning, abdominal and chest pain, slight chills and just overall dont feel good. Boyfriend said my body felt hot last night, didnt take my temp though. What could be wrong? Should I go to the doctor/ER? Thanks in advance.

It is always best to go to the doc if you think something is wrong. With the signs that you said it sounds like you are just getting a cold but you can never be too safe with your health

Worked 25 years on nights in an ER.

If the chest pains are accompanied by shortness of breath and numbness or tingling in your extremities, go to the ER NOW!

Otherwise, take it to your GP or Clinic. Best to be safe. Sounds like you might want to drink a lot of fluids.

Take your temperature. If it's high, say over 101 or 102, go to the doctor. Otherwise, try over-the-counter meds and sleep. Stay ontop of your fluid intake so you don't dehydrate, if you're still feeling worse in a day or two check it out. If your fever gets higher, check it out.

Chances are it's just your garden variety virus that'll run it's course.

Sounds like the flu, don't worry, just get alot of rest and water. I would only go to the doctor if you feel the same or worse in three days. Otherwise it will pass.

You are experiencing the symptoms of a fever. Drink plenty of fluids while avoiding soda and have some hot chicken soup handy.

find out if you have a fever over 102. If you do see a doctor, if you don't you have a virus and you just need lots of rest and fluids.

looks like you have viral infection, if your fever is really high, go see your doctor as it maybe bacterial infection and you might need antibiotics, otherwise, lots of fluids, over the counter flu/cold medicine should take care of it...any cough..? what is the color of your secretions/phlegm... white, i would say its viral, yellow greenish, bacterial..... pinkish....u have pneumonia and u have to go to the doctor right away
