If it's pinkish-red, it's probably calcium or some other additive in the water. I'd buy a purifier if I were you, just to be safe. Good luck.

at the cheap, initiate ruling out. Take off the bathe head itself from the pipe on the wall. See if that's been broken or clogged with the help of a few thing. verify the holes to work out in the event that they have all at once desperate to calcium up. if so, come across a drill bit the comparable length via fact the holes and with the help of hand basically wreck unfastened the calcium or lime buildup. that's step quantity one. Your 2d and maximum probable challenge is that someway the lever device that diverts the water from the decrease faucet to the bathe head has slipped and is not any longer totally diverting the water. If water maintains to come lower back out the backside faucet and little comes out the bathe head, it fairly is maximum probable your challenge. lots of the time that could take a plumber or somebody with some actual adventure to get the administration and its conserving panel off, and to change the diverter. some knobs are placed on with small set screws Allen wrench type, some very small screwdriver type. you could desire to check out and notice if that's the case. if so, you may get the knob off with the help of unscrewing (do no longer lose the set screw down the drain) and pulling on the knob. then you definitely pry the conserving hide, in many situations a plate finding factor set with caulk, off. that could assist you seem at the back of the setup to work out if the latch has slipped or completely locked itself off. if so, you nevertheless want somebody with some adventure to get that arranged lower back in place the two with a clean unit or with the help of fixing even if has slipped out of place.

I've noticed a similar thing. Not red but pinkish on the tiles and round the shower tray.

I also notice it, if water has been in the toilet for a while-like when you come back from holiday etc.

Sorry this does not really answer your question but at least you know you're not the only one with weird things in your water

Mine too. I assume it's a combination of lime scale and something else but I only get the red marks on the plastic shower head, the stainless steel taps only have regular lime and water marks so maybe it's the combination of plastic and lime scale?!?

Try cleaning and sterilizing with bleach. That red you're looking at probably is mold or a fungus trying to grow.

if it's an orangish/red color it's just rust or iron from the pipes. happens sometimes if your water is too hard.
