Depending on your age you need an average of 6 to 8 hours of sleep if you sleep to much your body feels lethargic and has had too much rest so you don't want to move.. if you don't get enough sleep it feels like you are jittery and edgy because your body is starting to notice a lack of sleep. Your brain needs the proper sleep time to let your body rest. It's kind of a catch 22.. every ones body is different and people train their body's to go on certain amounts of sleep.. try getting around 7 hrs of sleep and see how you feel then.

If u sleep for more than 10 hours a day, the percentage of carbon-dioxide in ur blood goes up while the oxygen percentage goes down & that's why u feel tired when u wake up..........the opposite is true for very little sleep....it might not be enough to satisfy the person, but even if it's just a 15 min nap, it can charge ur brain & detoxify ur body to some extent. In other words, it'll have a stimulant effect which may resemble that of caffaine in coffee.
On average, a normal adult should sleep between 6-8 hours a day for good health & mind activity.

Getting too much sleep causes laziness. The reason I don't know, but there is an average amount that each person needs. Usually 6 to 8 hours is very adequate.
