No, just the fact of having a metal piece pierce through your skin is cringing though.

Interesting note:
When I was volunteering with a medical group in South America We noticed that their pain perception is a lot different. Only the children cringed at the most when getting a shot. Not because it was painful, but because they were nervous and that they've never recieved a shot nevermind knew that "shots" existed.

Its not the needle itself that hurts its whats in it most of the time. If you are getting something like a tetnis shot or a strong antibiotic shot they tend to hurt more because the fluid in the syringe is thicker.

Oh yes. Shots hurt all right. The only thing is, is now that I am a Mummy I can't make faces and carry on.

Shots do hurt because you are injecting fluid into the body. Getting blood drawn is usually less painful for most people.

I've only had two that hurt:

My Hepatitus B shot (Third shot) and my Tetanus shot.


The other's don't HURT, but I'm terrified of sharp objects being stuck into my muscle tissue.

Im always a lil nervous about the needles, but they usually dont hurt.

I donate blood regularly. compared to that needle, shots are nothing.
