i got attacked from behind unexpected and got hit on the side of the nose. i could see in the mirror about 10mins afterward that the structure(cartilage?) was now crooked/slanted(to one side). i didn't manage to get ice on it (not my fault) so it swelled up bad but mostly on the side that wasnt hit. It was most moved close to the nose tip(although the tip was still in the middle). 2 and a half days later most swelling was gone and it had actually straightened out alot. However it is now straight but from the bridge it is slighly of centre although straight(the cartillage i guess). It can be seen that the side hit is slightly depressed or in compared to the other (non hit) side. How can i get this sorted? Would it need an operation? How bad is it?

I have pain in my right wrist upon use of it, bending it forward or backward. I work for Pain mgmt doctor who has injected it several times with Marcaine & Kenalog. It used to work, but past 2-3 have not worked. I went to an ortho, who ordered MRI. MRI was perfectly normal with the exception of mild dorsal tilt of the lunate. Ortho has now ordered 3 weeks of PT, which doesn' seem to be doing a darn thing. I am in a wrist splint except for during therapy. The only injury I have had was about 2 years ago when I was trying to use a power tool to put a hole in a desktop at work...it twisted my thumb/wrist until I saw stars! I had it injected for the first time just after that, which helped it 100%. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?? MRI was essentially normal. What questions can I ask the ortho at my next follow up. I am discouraged at the lack of findings. Anyone have a similar situation?

I fell and broke two bones in my foot and have to go see a orthopedic doctor and I am just wondering if they use plaster casts anymore. The E.R doctor just put on one of those lovely blue shoes for now.

About 2 months ago my son ( who is 6) fell through his bunk bed and hit his face up against the post of the bed. He doesnt complain much about it but it really hasnt healed. My question is if he had chipped his bone or something ..does it heal on its on. My son is very tough and has been through alot in the past couple years with injuries and there is some trauma there. I dont want to put him through more trauma..if it is something that can heal on its on.....I am a good mother ...but as time has passed and the bruise is still there I am getting more concerned, but like I said it doesnt really bother him!

I hurt it playing baseball and I stretch (I think properly) before each game (games are 1 week apart) but every game it tightens up again.

Dr. says be patient it'll take longer because there's no cartilage left but I'm too young for replacement (53) so he was buying some time. I probably came back to work too quickly (9 days after surgery) It's still very painful and swollen and now I'm getting worried that I'll never be able to walk without a limp. Anyone have similar situation that can give me some encouragement? I'm not planning to run a marathon, I just want to be able to function again.

Im off work sick with a bad back. funny how we throw ourselfs around in sports etc etc, then I managed to twist my back whilst bending down as i was hanging the washing out. !!!
So painfull i just fell to the floor in agony. that was saturday. now monday, still in pain but i can at least walk now.
Why was you last off work sick and how did your boss react.

A little over a week ago i accidentally pulled my big toe nail up. Well it was pointing straight up at me. I went to the doctor paid over 200 dollars for him to pull it the rest of the way off. He didn't tell me how to bandage it or anything and he wants me to come back in and pay more money so he can tell me how to care for it. I tried looking stuff up online to help me but i didn't find anything very useful. I've been soaking it in Epsom Salt once a day to help clean it, pouring idoine on it and using neosporin and keeping it bandaged.

I was wondering when i should leave it open and if i should start putting something on it to keep it from growing back all funny or funky?

decided to ask two questions in one::Elbow::now the pain isnt serious, but in some positions, i get these strange pains in my elbow. they arent bad but im just wondering if this could b bad.

Knee:: i was doing a cartwheel and i felt this pull on the top of my knee. It was excruciating (sp?) pain but it hurt. I had trouble walking for a little bit but it went away. What could that have been??

How do i know the cut is infected

i was at school and we won a prize and we all went to go get it and it was in the parking lot someone tripped me and i fell and slid when i got up i had a huge cut on my elbow like 2 1/2 inches long . i went to the nurse and then i washed with soap and water and then she put a bandage on it and when i got home my mom put neosporin on it and put on a new bandage the next day it was swollen and had pus on it . My mom says that its not infected but i think it is sorta cause my friend told me it was

ok so im not sure what ive done to my hand and im not sure if i should go to the doctors or not but here goes:
my right hand really hurts where the thumb and next finger along join the hand and from their down to my wrist is really painful it hurts to bend it or move it and it has swelled up quite a bit and the rest on my wrist and hand really really hurts to move.
i dont know what i have done?
i mean should i like be wearing a bandage or somthing?

I fell down earlier today at the store Target There was some water on the floor and I fell Two Employees Saw me But I was so Embarrassed That got up in a hurry and left since I was already on my way out and near the exit. I didnt think I hurt myself that bad just my knee. But As the evening went on I have had really bad pain in my foot and can barely walk I know I will need to see a dr. Should I go back and report this to Target Or let it go??

I got a concussion over a month ago. (They're only supposed to last a month) I'm starting to get new symptoms I never had before. Today I started feeling pressure building up in my head. Why does this happen? By the way, if you're wondering I have gone to the doctor twice already. I'm going to see the neurologist as soon as I can. They may have me get a CAT scan.
