I got a concussion over a month ago. (They're only supposed to last a month) I'm starting to get new symptoms I never had before. Today I started feeling pressure building up in my head. Why does this happen? By the way, if you're wondering I have gone to the doctor twice already. I'm going to see the neurologist as soon as I can. They may have me get a CAT scan.

I don't have a decongestion and I don't feel sinus pressure. The actual pressure I'm feeling is more toward the center and back of my brain.

Definately go see a neurologist. You could have a small mass developing that is causing the pressure. Stay calm. Go see a neurologist. The sooner you catch these problems, the easier it can be to treat successfully.

There is a type of disorder caused by a bad concussion, that can make the symptoms of your concussion last anywhere from 2 months to 2 years. My dad had this happen and his condition lasted for over 2 years. Definitely go to the doctor. For lots of people who have had severe concussions, it just takes closer to a couple of months for symptoms to go away completely, so that may be all it is.

Also, you could have pressure building up in your head from sinuses. This is a big allergy time of year. As long as it's not interfering with any other meds you're on, try taking an over-the-counter decongestant, and maybe that will help. Smelling peppermint oil is a natural way to open up the sinuses if you don't want to put medication into your system. You can get peppermint oil for pretty cheap at any health food store.

Hope you feel better soon!

Sounds like a trip to ER is vital. Some times little bleeders in the brain area cause problems. Don't take a chance GO and they will do CAT and have a neurologist see you.
