This only occurs in my right eye and its never happened to me before. Please tell me if you have any idea?

What you have described is just like the beginning of Macular Degeneration. You start seeing a spot in your central vision. This could be a genetic condition. Symptoms begin when your central vision fades and the dot you described gets larger. I would recommend seeing your eye care doctor. Normally if it was a detached retina you would see some sort of flashing light, however both are serious.
