Yeah so you might have seen my other question. I was told I may have a concussion, but I never went unconcious when I hit my head, not for a second. I just got really dizzy and it hurt alot. What does that mean?

a concussion doens't always mean you have to lose consciousness. if you've been hit in the head, and having the major symptoms (headaches, nausea, ringing in the ears, dizziness, etc.) don't take any aspirin. that'll just thin out your blood and make things worse. don't do any kind of physical activity for at least a week after your symptoms are completely gone.

Yes, it is very possible to have a concussion without losing consciousness. The most important symptom to be aware of is nausea. That could be an indication of a Grade II or higher concussion which would need to be checked out (CAT scan or MRI) to check for brain swelling, fluid, etc. A Grade II usually involves some memory loss in addition to dizziness. If your symptoms have subsided, just take it easy for the next week to be on the safe side.
