Friday night I had the radio on and was dancing a little. It wasn't strenuous dancing, kind of like the dance you'd do at prom or at a club. Then it felt like a lead ball hit my leg. My leg has been hurting since and I can't straighten it. I've been limping since this started. The pain when I keep it still has gone down a great deal but not the pain when I try to straighten it. Whenever i try to it feels like my muscle is going to be pulled out. The pain started on the calf area. Now when I try to straighten it my ankle also hurts. On Tuesday night I found unexplainable bruises on my ankle and on my calf area. It's more like purple and black patches. They don't hurt if I press on them. Does anyone have an explaination what might be wrong with my leg? I can't see the doctor until Friday.

Is it possible to strain your foot? I'm curious because the bottom of my foot is real sore. I played hoops a few days ago, but don't remember injuring anything. I can barely put weight on it, making it tough to walk. This is the 2nd time this has happened.

I am a 14 year old female and I have really bad knees! Unfortunatly for me bad knees run in my family and i happened to be the only one out of my mom's 4 kids to get bad knees. My knees dislocate all of the time and they dont go back in themselves, so i have to pop them in myself. They pop out at least once a day, if not more. I dont know what to do to make them not pop out so I was wandering if there was anything you all could think of to make it so either they dont pop out or they dont pop out as much as they do now. Is there anything that you can think of to help me out here?

I should be out of the walking boot in a couple of weeks. What is the best shoe to wear to aid in better walking and better recovery? I was told new balance has great cross-trainers and also that sandals help strengthen the foot. What do you all think?

\lthough it has gone away know last week while skiing i had some shoulder pain. I first hurt my shoulder in the summer when i capsized my kayak and had to wrench myself up with it. Secondly late last year in badminton i did an over hand shot and it clicked and ground. I couldnt stretch it behind my back. Recentley im not sure what i did to it but while ski ing it hurt to push with my poles and it was painful to pull myself up onto my bunk. The pain is totally gone at the moment so i do not need or want advice on medicine or treatment.

What i want to know is what was wrong with my shoulder these times?

Was it the ligermants or muscles?

Are the injuries related and will it reioccure?

Thankyou!

p.s. i am 14 years old and quite sporty (i am not deohydrated)

Last night I woke up with a horrible pain in my actual stomach. I thought it was gas but it was so painful. When I got up to use the restroom my face got flushed, pale, cold, but then I broke out in hot sweat and fever. I wanted to pass out. Since then the pain has moved around my belly button towards the right side and if I press on it, it is painful. The pain isn't unbearable as of now, but if it possibly an appedictis does it happen over a period of a few days or within hours?

I had wrist surgery 2-1. I had torn liaments in my wrist. They took tendons out of my leg and drilled holes in my ulna and radius and tightened everything like a shoelace. Yesterday they took off the cast and put me in a splint. My arm is absolutley killing me. I feel sharp pain in my arm and hand, like there's glass in there shredding me. I am allowed to take off the splint to shower. I am in so much pain from any movement, I cannot even imagine trying to do anything with this splint off. It is excuciating to supinate and pronate. Is this temporarary from having a little extra movement? I blubbered like a baby all day yesterday. It took 2 percocets, 800 mg ibuprophen and a muscle relaxer to get the pain under cotrol. I am so sick of pain and pills, please help me!

It's been a while since I stopped smoking socially, but I took two cigs a while ago. Right after I went through my second stick, I felt so nauseous and started sweating profusely. My head still hurts very much right now and I think I'm going to throw up or pass out at any minute. Why is this? How do I stop it? Please give me useful answers because I have to get over this as soon as possible and go back to working on my papers.

I was walking from my car to my office when I slipped and hurt my back pretty badly. I took the afternoon off to go see my chiropractor and her response was that, when I slipped I twisted my back so that there are muscle pains everywhere. What do I do in this situation? Do I need to fill out forms?

A month ago, I hit my head and got a concussion. I felt really bad for a week. Then it slowly started to go away. Four days ago, I started feeling sick, like I had felt with the concussion: Headache, light headed, nausa. The only thing that hasn't returned is my memory loss, I wasn't remembering things clearly back then but I'm not having a problem with that currently. Can a concussion return? I was good for about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. Could this be something else? Should I have it checked out or wait? ANY knowledge anyone has would be great!

I was at baseball and i was catching. The coach said i didnt need my helmet right now, so i threw it off to the side. A ball went that way and when i went to catch it i stepped on it and my ankle rolled. This was at about 3 pm and it is now 8 pm. theres not alot of swelling, and its not bruised, but it hurts a lot. It hurts to move it in certain directions and hurts to walk on it.

and also, how do i tell my coach this? I went through practice today and it hurt, but i didnt want to seem like weak or something. And i dont want to say i cant practice because i dont want my coach or other players to think im faking it

I had surgery almost 5 weeks ago and now have pins and a plate (I think) in my Rt ankle. I found out that I have osteoporosis in that foot too.I get the non walking cast off tomorrow and a boot put on. I can take it off to sleep and bath. I normally work 12 hours shifts and I am on my feet most of the time. I am wondering how soon I will really be up and around pretty good on that foot. Are you able to drive with your left foot?

I hurt my wrist and hand by landing wrong from a bad fall and now my wrist and hand have soft tissue damage. It can be pretty painful waiting for it to heal but I can handle it. I'm in my early 20's and I don't think it should take long to heal but I want to help it along. Are there any exercises I can do to help speed my recovery? If you are a health professional, please add that in your answer.

I've had this cyst in my wrist for almost 6 months (from when I first noticed it). I went to the doctor he said give it time, but from what I understand it's possible cysts can call your wrist home for quite some time. I just recently began getting a pain in my wrist, nothing severe, just uncomfortable. Would it be wise to bust it using a hard book? Also, how painful is it to bust it using this method?
