Last night I woke up with a horrible pain in my actual stomach. I thought it was gas but it was so painful. When I got up to use the restroom my face got flushed, pale, cold, but then I broke out in hot sweat and fever. I wanted to pass out. Since then the pain has moved around my belly button towards the right side and if I press on it, it is painful. The pain isn't unbearable as of now, but if it possibly an appedictis does it happen over a period of a few days or within hours?

i have the same problem you do. today actually. i was getting ready for school one morning when i felt this unbearable pain in the middle of my stomach my dad is a paramedic so he took me to the hospital and at first the doctors just thought it was a swollen abdomen. but then when the doctors did a ct scan and an ultrasound they found out that i had appendicitis. i am scheduled to have the appendectomy tomorrow.

Best bet is to call and get a Dr. appointment like asap and if it doesn't go away and gets worse tonight go to the emergency room. The same thing happened to me last summer...same exact symptoms and all...it hurt to move pain in lower right abdomin, etc. Went to the emergency room and they thought it was appendicitis. However it wasn't...there are a few possibilities it could be...appendicitis, a viral infection, or since you're a female it could be an ovarian cyst. Mine ended up being an ovarian cyst, but since you have a fever it's either appendicitis or an infection.
Either way you need to go the dr.

Erm well I was in and out of hospital with a "grumbling appendix". But then it got real bad. And started like yours. It can happen over either, just depends on you. But stomach pains you should never wait. Better getting it checked out than getting really ill from the appendix bursting like me. An dif you dont feel you are getting better question the doctors, get a second opinion. Something my parents didnt do.

You need to go to the emergency room now! Strong pain like that isn't a good thing no matter what.

Usually its just over a couple of hours, you might want to get in and see your Dr. it could turn in to a life threatening situation.

It's called 'acute' for a reason. Don't flirt with death. Seek help.
