I know this is so stupid but a last ditch effort for well, that's not important...I just need to know if I can do it myself. I'm crazy I know!

That is absolutely crazy no matter what the reason. A person I knew, was really mad at someone and punched the wall in his house...put a hole in the wall, but broke his hand. He was in excruitiating pain, went to the hospital...and ended up having to have surgery on his hand, putting steel plates in his hand. He's sorry now he did that......looking back in hind sight*.........I wouldn't want to inflict that amount of pain on myself or any pain on myself for that matter.
Fess up to whom ever you are in a bind with.....the truth will do you wonders and save your hand*

Did you see that episode of ER where Luka put his hand in a vise? Of course this was under great duress.....what ARE you thinking???? This one needs to go to the mental health column.....

Yeah, it's possible. 8 pounds of pressure on your hand. Or over extent. It's possible, but painful.
