Injuries - January 2007

Does this condition have any effect on the mucles surrounding it-
arm,hand and elbow. What are the symptoms if there is an infection?
This has been caused by a blood draw at the elbow for a routine blood check up 4 weeks ago.Still have pain which increases when the hand is exerted. Has burning sensation sometimes and muscle tenderness on the outerside of the arm and slight swelling/stiffeness on the innerside of the forearm and the elbow
Been to 2 pcp's said it will go away and been to a vascular surgeon who didn't say any different and never checked what the symptoms were and did not give me any satisfactory answers which I expected from an expert!). Hence with no answers I am troubled more than ever. This situation is interfering with my daily activities and with people around me.
Please give me serious advice to help with my concerns with your experiences or checking with your doctor friends.
This would mean a lot to me and I will have peace of mind.

ok my neck is like stiff or something rite now. its hard to turn it left cause it starts feeling funny. i think its cause either my friend fell on me ice skating yesterday or i slept funny. watever it is how can i get rid of it.

I used to get a lot of nosebleeds but I haven't had one at all in 2006... then on 1-4-07 I got one again, then on 1-5-07 I got another one, then today, 1-06-07, I got another one... also in the last 4 days, I have been eating a lot of Pretzels which are very salty... I just thought, maybe that was the cause... if you know anything about this let me know...

thanks to everyone who answered me question. I went to the doctor and come to find out i had a torn ligiment and some loose cartilage so now i am wearin a knee brace. but now the big question i have to ok to play on friday so should i or should i not?
(i mean its homecoming and i really want to but if it will hurt me physically i dont know) so what do yaw think???

I went sledding the other day with friends and I ended up flying off the sled. My arm landed under me and on top of a hidden branch. It was swollen at first and then a few days later it was still sore and bruised but not swollen. The area near my wrist (which is what hit the branch) now has a bump that hurts a little when I push on it. Is it normal to have a hard bump there? I'm not in terrible pain or anything. This was about 8 days ago.

ok I've been scared about this for a while and want to clear things up
I'm a drummer and they say it's something that you could develop. but HOW CAN I AVIOD IT?? other than not playng of course....
I heard stretching your wrist by folding it up and down with the other hand, and maybe drinking water....is there anything else? i'm 18 btw..no weight or food issues

yesterday i fell on my knee during a basketball game. It's not broken or dislocated, just swollen and the muscle around it is very tight. I now have a knee brace. How long will it take for it to heal so that i don't have to use the brace or crutches to walk?

I was just wondering if anyone knew whether sciatica could be caused by a poorly-done spinal tap, as the needle goes right through the area of the sciatic nerve. I've had trouble with my back off and on since I had the proceedure in August. Every time I do heavy activity, it flares up.

ok 2 days ago in skool i punched a locker and it hurt really bad after that. well now 2 days later it still hurts just not as bad, the thing that bothers me is that there is this muscle or bone or something that can move when u touch it. when u touch it on the other hand it dosn't move but this one it does. it is like connected to the pointer finger cause i can see it and it like moves. did i brake something cause i don't think it is supposed to move like that.

My freind cut his leg with a chainsaw. He called me today. Said he woke up this morning and had maggits oozing from his wound. Should he just scrap them aways? or go see a Dr? I told him to save the maggits for trout bait, and just go fishing cause he ain't bleedin' none.

ok well i am an active sports player, i am all the playing something. well my knee has been giving me problems for about 3 weeks now and i havent went to the doctor. well i didnt think it was that bad until the other day when i got pushed and i hit in b-ball practice and i was knocked pretty hard and i hit the floor hard. well i dont want to go to the doctor but then again i do?. the reason i dont want to go to the doctor is becuase my schools homecoming game is this coming up fri and i really dont want to miss it but if something is really hurt i want to go ahead and go so it will be better for softball season which starts the begining if march.
so the question is should i or should i not go to the doctor??
or what do you think it is that screwing up me knee???

I have my "finger" stuck in a bottle. I don't dare break the bottle and cut my "finger". My "finger" is a little swollen and hurts too. I really feel silly and don't want to call any emergency people about my "finger" problem. How do I get my "finger" out of the bottle?

i have looked a few things up and still cant figure it out. i dont think its caparal tunnel because its starts from your thumb to your middle finger, never your pinky. im so confused. is it life threatening? if it doesn't go away in awhile im going to have to see a doctor i guess. someone please shed some light on me..

so, i was playing football and was kneed in my shin and there is no sign of bruising or any swelling at all. any time i put any pressure on my shin it hurts a lot. i like to sit on that leg while on the computer, just putting that leg beneath the other on the chair, but due to the pain, i cant. any ideas what it may be? it hurts... :(

60 year old man needs surgery for a torn rotator cuff it has been hurting for a long time i have also had three strokes and back surgery and the other side rotator done in 2001i am not a bum i drove truck for 37 years and was forced to retire after the stroks medicare only pays%80so that will leave me a bit over $3000 to pay out of pocket that i dont have i only get social security disability as income if you have an answer please let me know
