I went sledding the other day with friends and I ended up flying off the sled. My arm landed under me and on top of a hidden branch. It was swollen at first and then a few days later it was still sore and bruised but not swollen. The area near my wrist (which is what hit the branch) now has a bump that hurts a little when I push on it. Is it normal to have a hard bump there? I'm not in terrible pain or anything. This was about 8 days ago.

It is normal for a lump to develop after a trauma to the tissue. It will fade away eventually. If it were fractured, you would be in great pain and unable to use the arm. It is caused by damage to the tissues and from bleeding internally. The body will eventually reabsorb the blood that is pooled in that area under your skin and muscles and eventually you will not notice it at all.
