on and off I get this pinch in the lower right side of my back. When I bend over sometimes I feel thi pinch. But for the most part I'm ok through out the day. I know about 4 years ago I injured my back trying to wrestle my uncle. I also was a auto mechanic and spent a great deal of time bent over the hood of a car. Any advice?

As of a few days ago, i noticed when I would start to put any pressure on the right side of my right foot (where the bone points out a little), there would be an excruciating pain. I haven't injured my foot, but I noticed a callus there somewhat thicker on that part of my left foot. Could it be my shoes? There is no noticeable bruise or any other indicator of what the injury is. It is definitely something to do with the bone edge in that part of my foot. Does anyone know what is wrong?

I had surgery 11 days ago and had an IV that was used to administer general anesthesia. My veins are hard to find and the first IV the nurse tried didn't take. So she tried higher up on my arm the second time and it worked. I bruised at the two sites and a few days after surgery it looked all better. Then all of the sudden about a week after surgery the bruises are back and it's sore on both spots. In a follow up appointment the doctor asked if I had any problems at the IV site and I said no because I didn't at the time. Is it unusual for bruises/pain to come back at an IV site like this? What kind of problem(s) could it be if any?

Hypothetically speaking if a soldier serving in Iraq was to have leave and did not want to return to a war zone and had the idea of breaking one of his bones, what bone would be the easiest to break and least painful way to do it. hypothetically of course, and there will lots of alchol involved hypothetically. which break would not leave the most long term effect

I had a nose job back in May 2006 and one of the advices my surgeon told me, was not to start gym exercises that cause me too much strain.

Was wondering if anyone else here has had a cosmetic nose job and if they've had any problems with going back to the gym doing weights etc...

Many thanks and Happy New Year to all

My pen exploded in my dryer, outside in the cold. I spent 4 hours on my hands and knees cleaning it over 2 days with rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover. Now I feel like crap, I have a cough, my eyes run with crud coming out occasionally, and to boot, I have a huge bruise starting from just under my elbow to my armpit that’s about a hands length wide and I did not hit it on anything. I have a headache to boot. Any advice? sympathy?

I was jumping a double on my motorcycle and landed on the uphill side of the landing ramp. Didn't crash, but I had the balls of my feet on the pegs instead of the middle of my feet like I was supposed to, and had a very hard impact when I landed.

My feet bent UPWARD, and I immediately crawled around on the ground with the top and heels of my feet on fire (not literally). Never could put pressure on left foot, and very small (1/2 cm) range of motion in all directions.

3 days later (after Resting/Icing/Elevating/No walking) Larger range of motion, still slightly swollen, no bruising, but still no weight bearing allowed. When I put pressure, I feel the intense pain along the top of my ankle (tarsals) and the back of my heel.

Usually ankle sprains are from rolling to either side. Have never had it from bending my foot UP. I cannot see a doctor (finances) I would appreciate any advice.

My Middle Toenail On My Left Foot Just Fell Off... How Long Will It Take To Grow Back?
It's really gross... the thing is, I have a fear of nail damage and I'm climbing up the walls about this. The soft flesh under it, the tenderness, all my other toenails are painted red and that one is just empty... it's gross.

How long will it take to grow back?

I had an abdominal hernia repaired exactly 1 month ago. Would it now be safe to go to Disneyland and ride the rides? I wouldn't want to tear anything but my kids really want to go tomorrow. I could call my doctor but this seems like such a dumb question!

Thanks for the advise.

I FELL A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO, HITTING THE INSIDE OF MY WRIST. I NOW HAVE A BUMP ABOUT THE SIZE OF A DIME. IT DOESN'T HURT, SO NOTHING IS BROKEN. A FRIEND SAID IT POSSIBLY COULD BE A CYST. COULD A CYST DEVELOPE FROM AN INJURY OF THIS TYPE? ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?

Do I maybe require surgery at this point? I have a 6-pack ab now, very little belly fat; yet; that doesn't seem to be enough to take the load off my S1 disc. Plus, I go on a 45-minute walk every night to help keep my back nice and strong. Will the sciatica ever go away?

I had a significant fall approximately 2 years ago and my tailbone has hurt ever since. I have also developed very awkward bowel patterns, which may or may not be associated. Last night my pain was in the groin/symphisis pubis area. Is it referred pain? I had an x-ray some time ago in which I could (I thought) clearly see a break in the coccyx. The x-ray technician agreed, but the radiologist did not. What should my plan of action be? I do not want to be in pain anymore.
