My pen exploded in my dryer, outside in the cold. I spent 4 hours on my hands and knees cleaning it over 2 days with rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover. Now I feel like crap, I have a cough, my eyes run with crud coming out occasionally, and to boot, I have a huge bruise starting from just under my elbow to my armpit that’s about a hands length wide and I did not hit it on anything. I have a headache to boot. Any advice? sympathy?

Ok sweety number one you never mix alcohol and nail polish remover because they can mix and cause problems with your body when inhaled. I would go to the doctor and let them know what happened, especially since you are feeling sick and have a bruise forming with no injury. Sounds like your body is having a hard time with all the fumes that you inhaled over those two days and the cold weather probably didn't help you at all either. Your probably getting a cold on top of everything else. Good luck and get yourself to the dr.

You'll be alright, most likely the chemicals irritated your nostrils and are to blame for you feeling sick.Get some fresh air and don't do that again.

..You may have a form of Pneumonia caused by the solvents you were using. Not to mention the buzz in your head due to the inhalants.
