I'm not injured, it is just something I heard about. I wanted to know if that situation is a sign showing that the poor people go crazy.

That's called "Phantom Pain". The limb is missing but the brain doesn't . Was thought that nerves were nerves,that's not always true,some nerves are so specialized that if they were transplanted else where on your body the sensation and response would still be control lets say fingers , when its was surgically transplanted to restore a damaged nerve to the toes. Takes rehab and time. SW RNP

Called "Ghost Pain". The remaining nerve endings still recall, as I understand it.
I've had a urostomy. No bladder. Sometimes when I shower, the urge is overwhelming. I even find myself straining to urinate and it's impossible.

you should probably still be able to feel your fingers if you had your leg amputated, but its the toes i'd be concerned about. if you're still feeling pain in your toes, talk your doc.

Your leg is amputated? You should see a doctor about your symptoms. Sounds serious.
