Yesterday, or the day before yesterday, I was eating some fruit and lately after I eat the fruit, I remove the seed(s) from the middle;cuase I plan to do something with them. Well my right pointer finger has gotten sore;sore enough to seriously aggitate my finger;bu not sore enough(at least I dont think) to go to the doctor or hospital, or anything like that.
What if anything do I do to help the soreness go down and go away. It's actually my pointer finger and my thumb;but the thumb is not as bad as the finger. It's sore underneath the nails mainly not just the outside.

Any ideas or suggestions?Anything that helps is welcome.Thanx!

Hey I have an ingrown toenail problem on my left toe and on the left corner. I would say that my toe is not very swollen and I see no pus coming out. I have to go get surgery on it next week. Can anyone explain to me how the surgery works and if there is any pain during the surgery?

I have been diagnosed to have torn Meniscus in my right knee. My left knee also pains a little. While I am a IT professional but play table tennis and lawn tennis as a hobby. I can do may day to day activities without any problem, but unable to play tennis or play soccer with my son. I can still play table tennis, but not that aggressively. Is it better for me :
1. to get a surgery done and get into by hobbies fully or
2. shall I continue with what I can do and not to try harder things
3. Change my lifestyle and avoid aggressive sports activities

About a week ago, I felt a small ache on my left side of my chest, down near the bottom of my ribcage. I had been coughing a lot from a cold the previous week, and now that ache has blown up into a pretty painful area. I am not having any trouble breathing, I can take a deep breath, it just makes that area hurt when I do. However, when I bend over or double over, I can cough or take a deep breath with a LOT less discomfort, or if I pull the skin away from my ribcage. I am able to sleep normally, and when I wake up, it feels a lot stiffer on that left side, and it hurts when I attempt to lift myself up, then when I am up it feels better.

The reason I ask here is because for one, I have no health insurance and would like to avoid a trip to the emergency room if at all possible, if I have to go in, I will of course, screw the money. Also, about 20 years ago my father had an attack of Pleurisy, and I want to make sure it's not a lung issue. Thanks!

My husband spends his entire shift and any over time, walking on concrete and asphalt (he works in a fuel yard). His shins, feet, ankles and heels are so sore it leaves him gimpy/lame. Are there any special 'kind' of shoe/boot (like for instance 'nurses' shoes) or particular brand (Nike, Converse, Wolverine) that would help allievate his pain during his shift? I realize that padding will help but is one brand better than another? Anyone experience this? I'm not looking for them as a gift for him but as a tool to help ease his pain. I would appreciate your input, please.

I was playing basketball and as I was doing a crossover, I bent my ankle and stepped with it in that position. The muscles around my ankle hurt but I dont think anything is broken or torn... there was no swelling or brusing. Is it serious

I was helping a friend pick up a pool table when all the sudden my middle finger is filled with a sharp pain, it has been like this for the past 2 hours. I can move it just fine but the slightest pressure causes me to cringe in pain. What the hell is wrong with it? Did I pull something in my finger when I was picking up the pool table? Should I go to the emergency room or is this just a minor injury?

I've been using the computer sine 1997..so now it's about 10 years. many times i would spend lot of time staring at the monitor cause i had projects to do. then last year i started feeling a lot of eyestrain, and i still do if i stare too muchat the screen. But also along with the eyestrain, i have a weird cracking/popping inside my right eye each time i blink. so if i blink alot . it sounds like CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK. I'm not sure where exactly it is coming from, but when i went to eye doctor he said my eyes are in good shape. So, what can this sound when i blink be? By the way, i don't think anyone else would be able to hear the click sound..only me cause my eyes are attached to my head. but still i'm not mentally making up this sound. it's real.. like aligament is making the sound or a tiny bone? could it be due to the fact that my eyes have gotten strained for years, because of frequent computer use?

Over a week ago I hurt my knee running. I was running up a hill when all of a sudden I felt a very sharp, almost tearing pain on the inside of my knee. At first I saw a dr. who said it was just a bone bruise. It didn't get any better in a week so I saw another dr. who said not to worry and that it was just Housemaid's Knee. The thing is, the pain isn't in front of my kneecap; it's extremely tender all along the inside of that knee. It's painful to walk and my kneecap kind of pops when I walk. When I run the pain is mostly medial but it also hurts on the outside when my foot hits the ground. Does this sound like bursitis? The dr. I saw told me to just take 2 Aleve a day and to call him in January.
