It's called Sulfur. It's a natural gas that is built up in our bowels to pass the waste... And most natural gasses cause fire with flame.

The digestion produces some gases including methane, wich causes the flame in your fart!

farts are usually a combination of methane and hydrogen sulfide. methane is odorless, hydrogen sulfide is what makes the rotten egg smell. both are flammable. methane is produced by the decomposition of organic matter
