Grow up and realize you're an adult now and adults are responsible and work for a living.

If you really rolled your ankle, go to the doctor. If you didn't, go to work, fess up, and hope they just give you a write-up.

Do you have any freaking idea how hard it is to get work done when people can't be bothered to show up for their shift? Don't you hate it when people call off sick?

I'm only 25, but I've never missed a day of work for anything other than actual illness. Heck, I even show up to work if I have a cold or whatever because I need the money and I know what a pain it is when people don't show up. If they send me home, that's fine, but at least I try.

As someone else said, be an adult, be honest from now on.

well, first off, let me put it to you this way, Honesty... there is only one thing that you have that absolutely no one can take from you, your belongings can be distroyed or stolen, people come and go in our lives, even our health is destined to change. the one thing we have that no one can take from us is our word. when you give away your word like that, you give up the only thing that will always be yours.

did you really roll your ankle? or just want to take a personal day? If you really did roll your ankle maybe you could call your doctor and ask for a written note,

if you didn't, you may have to come clean with your employer and face the consequences.

Honesty right from the get go is always best

this may be one expensive lesson for you.

Go to urgent care and get a note. If you really rolled your ankle get it looked at. I injured mine 3 years ago and the doctor I went to misdiagnosed it. I had to have all the cartilage removed and am looking at surgery every 5 years or so for the rest of my life. If you really hurt it get it checked out. I thought mine was nothing.

well make the doctors appointment tell doc you twisted your ankle yesterday but it is better today but you can't go back to work with out being seen by a doctor first. and next time you want to call off don't use an injury... you have diarrhea and have been vomiting all night. works better.

Liar Liar pants on fire.Go back to work and tell them your foot was hurting but it is all better now therefore a visit to the doctor is pointless. If they dock your pay you deserve it and let this be a lesson to be more responsible . this kind of thing gets people fired

well, it all matters why you lied for work. I don' t think that was the best excuse but i guess if you have an old doc's note, you can white out the old reason, write the new reason on top and then copy the letter. Fax it or send it to your work. That should work.

Just go to the doctor, wince when he/she touches it, and get him/her to write you the note. He/she's a doctor, not a psychic, he/she doesn't know that it doesn't actually hurt. And its not like the doctor is going to tell you he/she doesn't believe you...they couldn't care less if you're trying to get out of work or not.
