I think the biggest problem in health care has nothing to do with doctors, but with the health care system. Nurses are paid VERY poorly, and that needs to change. Also, we have a shortage of doctors; anybody who wants to become a doctor and who shows the skill and aptitude to do so should be able to go without buiding up a mountain of debt in the process.

Every one is so rushed, The Dr. has a short amount of time to spend with you, the average visit is 5 minutes They tend to listen to the first few words you say,

Any one in the hospital needs a family member to advocate for their health care, in illness affects people. Some times the sick person just doesn't hear what the Dr. is saying. He may say the word "surgery" and the pt. freezse so they need someone to listen to the Dr. and ask appropiate question.

Next problem is CYA medicine . This means cover you *ss. So they oder lots of tests that probably won't give them much information anyway but the have to protect themselves from the Lawyers.

But the BIGGEST problem is cost. There are to many people with no insurance so they head to the ER for basic health care ,like a bad cold,. This is the only way to get help. dr's can o only afford to keep so many "Free" patients and the cost gets passed onto all of us.We alll pay for everyone.

The next biggest problem I see is the cost of medicines/ I take Lamisil for fingernail fungus. This costs me $369 a month. Now if Lamisil could save my life like an important heart medicine. But come on, $369 for nail fungus.

So, Dr's are rushed, we all carry the cost of treatment for everyone by increased cost for the people with insurance, and fospials and Dr's passing this onto us. The lawyers get involved so Dr's order more tests which also increases cost to more of us. Lastly the Drug companies love to line their own pockets and develope new medicines that are just as good as the old ones. I recntly saved one of my pt's prescription costs by chaning the med to an over the counter ed tha t saaved the pt. $75 a month.

I am very openiated by this as I work in healthcare management and see this all happen every day. Thanks for reading my long letter.w

Cost. When a visit to a doctor cost more than a family spends for groceries in a week there is a problem. I can name many things that cost less monthly, weekly or annually then a visit to the Dr.s office. If all the Dr's didn't have to drive expensive cars, have 2nd homes that cost more than many peoples 1st homes, send their children to ivy league schools, have partners that wear expensive jewelry, and actually practiced the art of caring and healing etc etc the cost of a visit wouldn't be such a deterrent for the average person who has to pay out of the pocket or a co-payment. I have insurance but the cost of what they do vs what they charge is unbelievable.

authorities involvement is the quantity one difficulty. States position ridiculous mandates on insurance businesses which in turn are forced to jack up charges on those they insure. detrimental human beings won't be able to be grew to change into faraway from an emergency room and each and each hosptal has to good a particular percentage of their amenities each and each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days so if you're detrimental and get seen at a medical institution, you bypass to the billing branch and ask for the papers to get your costs waived by way of an lack of ability to pay. Ridiculous costs for medical doctors malpractice insurance is yet another element that's killing us yet because human beings are sue satisfied this received't replace. drugs costs extra right here because we do all the R and D and with another u . s . capping expenditures, it leaves on basically us to pay for the study that's saving all those others. Their selfishness is sticking us with the invoice.

In America? Millions have no health care or insurance, doctors will never do anything about that because they make fortunes out of others misfortunes. Only government could impose a solution but it would have to be a strong and moral government, no hope soon then.

COST!
And doctors, by themselves, can do very little. It will take a lot of people and organizations working cooperatively, probably over a long period of time, to come up with a solution.
