I have experience in nursing and wound care, and you should never use hydrogen peroxide on any wound. The old thinking was that while it is bubbling, bad bacteria is being destroyed, That's true, but not only is bacteria being destroyed, but so is healthy tissue. As a result, you will 1) take longer to heal, and 2) you will more likely scar. Better to clean it with sterile saline, pat dry, then apply some triple antibiotic cream or ointment to a gauze pad (never apply directly to a wound, as you may contaminate the cream), and tape the gauze over the wound, obviously with the side you put the antibiotic against the wound.
If you absolutely must use hydrogen peroxide (such as if that is all you have on hand), it's better to dilute it with water - approximately 3 parts water to 1 part h/p.

properly first of all, please do no longer clean your piercing with Peroxide, that's no longer acceptable and easily does extra injury than reliable. it is going to put off healing and could actually reason an infection; Peroxide is so harsh it has a tendency to bathe away each and each of the recent cells and healing factors interior the piercing. What you prefer is a gentile cleanse. clean your piercing with a sea salt soak. a million/4 tsp of noniodized sea salt (confident it may desire to be that, table salt won't cut back it) in keeping with 8 fl oz..of water. Use heat and soak the piercing straight away interior the answer if accessible, for extra or less 10 minutes two times an afternoon. in case you won't be able to do a right away soak using placement, soak a clean paper towel interior the answer and use as a compress. it quite is all you like, do no longer clean it with the rest. Now which you comprehend of ideal aftercare enable me clarify what replaced into going on whilst the peroxide bubbled. It easily has no longer something to do with micro organism, that's a worry-unfastened false impression. the undeniable fact that that's used as an aneseptic is using the undeniable fact that effervescent action has a tendency to accomplish airborne dirt and airborne dirt and dust and different icky issues; the answer is properly particularly harsh itself, which does help to kill the micro organism besides, yet as I mentioned before, it additionally kills each and each of the reliable issues on your piercing. the answer itself quite is basically too harsh for a piercing. the effervescent does not advise you have an infection. Peroxide bubbles whilst that's presented to blood, or open tissue. that's because of the fact blood and open tissue has a chemical in it which acts as a catalyst for the peroxide to break down. The bubbles you notice are basically Hydrogen bubbles. It has no longer something to do with micro organism or infections. isn't technology cool? :)

You can wipe the scrape but the point of useing peroxide is to bring the dirt and germs to the surface. The best thing to do is let the scrape bubble up the irrigate it with a water bottle or flush everything out in the sink. You're aiming to get rid of everything in there and wipeing it may cause some of the germs to go deeper into the wound.

NO!
Pour on some more (if you're not still bleeding), the peroxide is doing it's job: OXIDATION.
Oxidation, simply put, is killing every living organism on your scrape and giving your immune system a jump start in its healing process.

No. I would just leave it. The bubbles will work at disinfecting the wound.

Let it sit for a second, then just blot them off with tissue. Then you can use Neosporin (sp?) and put a Band-Aid on it and it'll be all better!
