Injuries - December 2006

Yesterday, I found out from my doctor that I have a pinched nerve on one side of my left knee while the other side has a torn meniscus. I wasn't sure what type of tissue the meniscus is referring to.

My eye has been hurting really bad the past day. It feels like there is something in it, I can't open it all the way, the vision out of it is blurry, and it's really red. What could it be?? Do I have a scratch or do you think I might have pink eye? And what can I do to help it??

July 3rd 06 I wrecked a four wheeler and it landed on my right leg. My leg still has scars and the part where it hit is almost hard compared to the rest of my leg. My ankle is still bruised and when I walk for a while my ankle and foot swell and the pain in that leg is almost unbearable. I've been trying to get into shape so I'm walking 3 miles on my treadmill everyday. Yesterday I didn't have any problem with my leg, but today I did a mile and I had to stop. Now my foot and ankle are swollen. It's like an extremely painful cramp in the front of my leg. It's not a potassium type cramp. I take multivitamins and I've eaten today. This happend 5 months ago. Why am is it still giving me trouble? I went to the hospital after it happened and there was no blood clots or anything. Just bruising of the bone and tissue, but shouldn't that be okay by now? I'd really like to continue walking 3 miles on my treadmill. I feel good doing it. Is there any thing I could do so it isn't so painful?

I tripped over a laundry basket in the dark last night and landed right on my chin. It hurts so bad but it didn't bruise. I put ice on it for a while but it is really hot and still throbbing and its been 7 hours since it happened. I took some extra strength tylonol but it didn't do much good. Should I go to a doctor?

My pinky and ring finger are tingleing, I went to the doctor thinking it was a heart attack but they said it was something else. So while I wait to see my regular doctor I have time to think. I have noticed that when I press the side of my elbow it sends a tingleing sensation to my fingers. Does anyone know what it could be?

Hey everyone. I rolled my foot (if you know what I mean) but I rolled it more on my toes and the outside of my foot. I can move my toes and my foot isn't bruised but it still is a little swollen. I get sharp pains in my foot sometimes. I try to prop my foot up every time I'm sitting down. And I every once in a while put a heating pad on it but I have no health insurance so I don't want to the doctors and pay a lot. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do and oh I was taking over the counter meds and it helped for a while but I think I'm use to them now b/c they don't help at all now. Thanks for your suggestions!!!

I nipped out to the shop for a pack of cigs, and theres this homeless guy i always pass on my way, i always say hello and make a comment on the weather, just to be nice to him, but he always just turns his nose up to me and sometimes just tells me to piss off. This is one snobby, stuck up bum.

Normally such things wouldnt bother me, but as we are entering the season of goodwill i expect a little kindness in return. I know it shouldnt hurt so bad but it does.

What would you do?

ok i smoked 10 -15 a day since i was 12.
Since i stopped ( cold turkey no patches etc) ive noticed
A,harder to get to sleep
B,hot flushes
c, I can't stop eating which i'm not complaining about as i was only 7st 7 anyway.I've gained 4lb in 9 days.
I'm 27 and I wanted to know if all these symptoms relate to me quitting smoking please?
d, and i'm empting my bladder more too.

What is that when you stand up on your toes and feel this tearing in the back on the ankle just above the heel?

It sort of feels like you've just done something really bad, but it doesn't hurt much and usually is completely gone in a day or two.

i spraind my ankle yesturday not blue black or any other couler in the ankle , its swollen though on left side, but only alittle it only hurts when i put a lot of presure on it , i can jog and walk. so how long will it take to heal?
