I don't understand what could be "taboo" about a child's drawing on a cast. It's fine, just let them be kids!

Let them draw away. When I broke my arm my kids 3 and 10 designed my arm cast. It was a work of art in my eyes that I was proud of! Beat the cast I had when I was in 6th grade with just my friends signatures on it.

From the medical point of view, they can draw anything on it. =) Let them have their fun. They dun get a cast to draw on everyday.

I thought everyone drew on casts. My brother broke his arm when he was a kid and we spent the next few weeks scribbling all over it. You should only worry if your kids start drawing boobs or something rude!

Unless you have a job where you have to go to and look qoute "professional" i see no reason with it - or if that's the case too- find a pair of strechy pants to wear over the cast.

No. I had a cast and it was covered in notes from friends. My doctor also got a kick out of it.

Yes!! It's a way to show of their little artistic side and you won't have a plain cast.
