The horse I was riding yesterday morning fell down and I fell off. About 20 minutes after the fall my arm started hurting about an inch below my shoulder. It hurts more as time goes by. What are the signs of it being broken, how long should I wait to call the doctor? Thanks.

Is there a place on the neck, that if pushed with pressure, can cause someone to blackout. If so, how long does it cause the person to blackout for, and are there any down-sides to this

Many Thanks,

Lambros

If blood flows through the entire body then what happens when a limb is cut off? Since the vein or veins that the blood is flowing through is cut off, then how does the blood finish its course? Do doctors redirect it? Or does blood stop flowing to that part of the body? I need to know its driving me crazy!!

About a week ago it started to swell up and is now twice its normal size. It looks red and angry and is itching. I wear sensible shoes that aren't tight fitting so I don't think it's a corn. Anyone got any advice please?

The other day I was playing volleyball and someone accidently kicked the ball, to pass it and it smacked me right in the face, my eyes started watering and my nose has been in pain ever since especially if I touch it even slightly, it's also become harder to breathe not a lot but almost as if I have a cold (which I don't),It's also a bit swollen and red. I'm thinking about going to the doctors but I'm not sure if it is even broken. What do you think?

I have recently had a hysterectomy, where they cut me from my belly button down, I have now got a lump next to my scar that is very painful. My doctor felt it yesterday, and was getting me to cough, I explained it was very painful, he said it will be!(some help)he said it was a weakness in the muscle wall, I take it from this he means a hernia? If so, is it normal for it to be so painful, I can't wear most of my clothes as they rest on it. Any advice would be greatly welcomed.

irregardless of whether I strech it out or not, exercise chronicly tweaks my neck. I feel it when I look up, it's a whiplash feeling.

I've tried to conciously keep my head and shoulders relaxed as well with no benefit. Lately I've been screwing it up like clockwork about every two weeks.

Ever broke your neck or know someone that had? I broke mine. I had C-5 replaced. I was lucky and did not suffer with being paralyzed.

I think I was bitten by a brown recluse spider on Nov 19,2006. It was red , hard, swollen, dry to the touch but went away in about 2 weeks. Today it is red and itchy and burning, how long will this reaction last? I didn't see what bit me, but it felt like a needle, I was in FL. on vacation. Benadryl seems to help it. I thought it was better, so why did it flair back up like this?

I have a knee injury that I am uncertain about what it is exactly.
I wore bad running shoes for years and damaged only my right knee now. I have stopped running due to intense pain in my lower right knee cap each time I use my legs stretenously, like when I land hard on it or run a distance.
What do you think I have done to my knee? Do you think I have worn away cartilage, torn a ligament, or what maybe? Do you think this can heal on its own or will i need surgery to fix it?

How about tactile localization.
