If it hurts, I'd say you should definitely get it checked out.

They say that popping your joints every once in a while doesn't really effect you in any negative ways... but since it happens every single time, you probably need to get it checked.

if it's your knee....i wouldn't be too concerned. I had the same problem and when I went to the doctor he could make it pop without me walking. It's actually just a muscle inside the knee. If it hurts, you're probably developing some arthritis.

If you walk up the stairs and there's pain, chances are your kneecap is not aligned properly and you need some physical therapy to strengthen the muscle to pull it back into place.

If you're walking downstairs and there's significant pain, chances are you've torn your meniscus. See the doctor immediately!

Two knee surgeries later and i'm feeling great but still pain occasionally....I hope you never have to go through what i've been through.

Good luck and happy holidays!!!

I would go to the doctor. Everytime the knee pops it is wearing down the joint. If you go see a doctor early enough therapy might fix the problem and surgery may not be needed.

That should be your personal choice. My elbow pops everytime I do push-ups but it seems fine.

YES. I would highly suggest that. Was there an injury that started it? There are too many questions to ask here. I was an athletic trainer for years. Somthing like that needs attention.

Yes, you should probably go to the doctor. I've never heard of something like that, and I've seen and heard a lot of stuff because my dad is in the fire department.
