Everyone else...you, me, all the rest of us who DO have insurance and pay taxes. We pay for the uninsured through higher taxes and higher insurance premiums.
Not saying that everyone doesn't have the right to decent medical care either. It's a crying shame in the US that there are people who cannot afford medical treatment.

The uninsured person is billed for there own medical treatment. When they end up not paying the tax payors end up getting the bill. But the injured/ill person ends up with crap credit.

Tax payers eventually..Most people without a PCP will go to the ER for treatment. Indegent people will get by without paying, sometime. The hospital I have to go to at times wrote off 18 million dollars according to the person that I know in the business office..

In Canada there are no uninsured, Medicare covers all Canadians for everything.

Some hospitals use grant money to pay for it. Some just right it off as a tax break.

It depends on how much money the person makes. If they don't have a decent income, the taxpayers pay. If they do have a decent income, they are sent a bill.
