I am in drumline and am 5 feet tall 100 lbs. and although carrying the drum may not be the smartest thing to do i am sooooo into drumming. Anyway, during our five minuet break i try to stretch but nothing seems to get the "release" that i want it to. All the pain is in my lower back. I just want a stretch(s) that will help me so holding the drum isnt so painful. Something that will help with the overall drum carrying pain.

I started taking Lyrica for sciatica and neuropathy (non-diabetic, pinched sciatic nerve) 4 days ago and so far it's not doing a thing, in fact my pain level is very near what it is when I need to go to the ER. So, how long does it generally take to start working? Thanks.

A few months ago, I had an ingrown toenail and tried to treat it with Dr. Scholl's ingrown toenail medicine. It's a cream that you put on the affected area and covered with a special bandaid.

I put the cream on and went to bed. I woke up a few hours later because my toe was throbbing and hurting horribly. I immediately stopped using the cream.

My nail is fine now, so this is NOT asking for an ingrown toenail remedy. This is just to satisfy my curiosity. Does anyone know WHY this medicine would make the pain WORSE? The only active ingredient is sodium sulfide (1%) if that helps.

I was sharpening my knife and when I finished and went to put fold it back in, I shoved it into m finger so it cut diagonally into my finger, so basically it's all skin that got ripped up and it's bleeding at the base of the slice.

I am in my early twenties. Back when I was 17-18, I had lots of energy and could stay focused for hours on end. I went through books in days and had excellent comprehension.

Now I can barely drive without feeling like I'm going to pass out from drowsiness any second. It takes me weeks to read a book because I have to keep re-reading paragraphs due to my poor comprehension. I feel OK when I wake up (8 hours of sleep + breakfast) but four hours later I start getting tired fast.

I tried a vegan diet, raw vegan diet, lots of meat, red or white, etc.. nothing seems to have much of a difference. Raw veganism gives me the most energy but most of that energy is spent preparing the food.

Is it my blood sugar? Is it anemia? I take a multi vitamin daily

I work early mornings until early afternoon. I try to go to bed early but I have a 5 year old so after chores and bedtime I usually dont get to bed until late, leaving me less time to sleep at night.....this is not something i can work around. After work I come home and usually nap for 2 hours. I have gotten so used to this I nap daily for 2 hours. I am an adult, I feel like a child napping so often. Is there anyway to beef up my energy level so I dont need this afternoon nap.

Lately I have had trouble sleeping. I've never been one to fall asleep right when my head hits the pillow, but lately it's been worse and I just lie awake. I try reading and doing other activities to get my mind off of it, but that doesn't help. What can I do to get a better night's sleep, especially since school is about to start?

My ribs on my right side REALLY hurt. Sometimes when i breath in too deeply i get a sharp, stabbing pain in my ribs and it makes my right shoulder ache. I think it's the muscles inbetween my 2 of my ribs that have been pulled and have gone into spasm. How long until it goes away???Btw i'm a 16 year old male.

I have taken 6 vicodin in the last probably 12 hours (2 pills every 4 hours as prescribed by doc for degenrative disk disease in my back). I also have prescribed tramadol that I have yet to take. I have been on vicodin for several months now due to my back pain. Is it safe to take a tramadol today if I dont take anymore vicodin until tomorrow? Is it safe to take 1 or 2 vicodin in the AM and a 50mg tramadol in the PM? And yes I have called the on call doc....they have yet to call me back and my normal PCP is out of town. I just thought some of you might have some advice...experience.

I don't know why but occasionally I get these really painful bruises on the sole of my feet. The location is more or less the same area, on one foot is my heel, on the other is the side on the sole. Any idea what this is? I haven't done anything to cause it and I can clearly see the red patched area on my foot sole.....please help. Thanks!

I have no cartilage between my femur and patella (actually one sixteenth of an inch is all). Both knees are affected. I need to do aerobic exercises, but the only thing I've been able to do is swim, and I can't do it year round because there are no indoor pools here. I never get to a good level of fitness because it takes me all summer to work up to a good aerobic level--if I do it too quickly, my shoulders go. I have been told that a Lifecycle Recumbent bicycle would work for me, but others have told me no bicycle at all. What do I do? Help!

I was at 6 Flags yesterday so I was walking all day. Today, my left foot hurts a lot. I cannot bear any weight on it, and my mom noticed that it looks bruised and maybe even a bit swollen. It hurts to move the ankle, and the foot feels "funny." I would normally think any pain would be because I was walking on it all day, but my right foot is just fine. What might be wrong with me? Is it possible that I fractured a bone or something with all that walking? I haven't broken a bone before, but I am having some of the symptoms that they have on WebMD on Ankle Fractures.

Lately Ive found myself falling asleep all the time, mainly in the afternoon, but sometimes after i've only been awake a few hours. The prob is it comes on SO suddenly, within minutes im asleep, i literally am overcome by tiredness and cannot keep my eyes open. I sleep well, 8hours a night normally but this is happening at work, when im out, when im driving too...which worries me i have to pull over n get food n drink n slap myself. its physically imposs 2 open my eyes more than a slight bit.

Also i am so exhausted i cant actually move my body, its like if my bed was on fire i dont feel i even would have enough energy to get out of it, i cant move. i was tested before for diabities, thyroid gland etc, with no results. any ideas? its actually upsetting me as i work from home and keep losing money.
