I assume that because you were rubbing it that it is hurting, right?
That little pea-sized lump (especially if it hurts when you push on it) could be what's called a Myofascial Trigger Point.
Fascia (fash-uh, not facial) is the organ that separates muscle from musclt, skin from muscke, and muscle from bone.
Sometimes you can get a trigger point there. (Think of it as a catch in a sweater)
Trigger points are caused both by repetitive motion, and having a muscle in an unnatural position.
Try to apply steady, firm pressure to the ball and massage it out.
Try taking some ibuprofin and try a heating pad or ice pack.
Maybe try some bengay? (NOT with the heating pad or ice pack though, it can burn you really bad)

It's probably not anything really serious, but if it doesn't go away with normal treatment, or is really bothering you, talk to your doctor about it.
Don't be scared! Everything's going to be alright, it's most likely something very simple that can be fixed easily.

It may be a cyst, which is nothing. Normally diseases happen with multiple symptoms, if no fever(don't do it more than a few times--differs at different part of day) and get 98.6 a few times, stop you are fine. If not inform an adult, don't freak, and see a doctor you trust. Be firm, good for keeping eyes peeled, bad to become a hypochondriac.

i think you might be over reacting just a little. my aunt is a nurse and i asked her about your problem and she said that you might just have a really swollen muscle or you might have just pulled something. she said that its really nothing to worry about unless it feels like you broke your arm. don't give yourself a panic attack. if you have more concerns go to the hospital.

Most likely, it's nothing. If it begins to bother you, or interferes with your every day life, go see a doctor.
