I don't know why but occasionally I get these really painful bruises on the sole of my feet. The location is more or less the same area, on one foot is my heel, on the other is the side on the sole. Any idea what this is? I haven't done anything to cause it and I can clearly see the red patched area on my foot sole.....please help. Thanks!

You need to see a Podiatrist as soon as possible. There could be many different possibilities including diabetes. You need to see a professional and get a proper diagnosis.

Did you by any chance buy gel insoles? They don't work. What you need are good arch supports (the ones that do not collapse when you stand on them). If you can, call a couple of podiatrists offices, ask them if they have Powersteps. Also, make an appointment while you're at it. Nothing beats a good exam and a diagnosis.
