I was at 6 Flags yesterday so I was walking all day. Today, my left foot hurts a lot. I cannot bear any weight on it, and my mom noticed that it looks bruised and maybe even a bit swollen. It hurts to move the ankle, and the foot feels "funny." I would normally think any pain would be because I was walking on it all day, but my right foot is just fine. What might be wrong with me? Is it possible that I fractured a bone or something with all that walking? I haven't broken a bone before, but I am having some of the symptoms that they have on WebMD on Ankle Fractures.

I have had sprains before, but this time my foot hurts more than it did with other sprains. I've been resting it, and it still hurts, and I could manage to move and put some weight on my foot then. I cannot at all this time, and the only reason I'm thinking a fracture (even possibly a stress fracture) is because it's worse than the sprains I've had and I have some ankle fracture symptoms that are listed on WebMD

You may have chronic ankle instability from the previous sprains. What happens is that after a sprain your muscles in your ankle weaken and you lose some of your balance in the sprained ankle. If you dont do rehab to correct this then you are left with an unstable ankle that cant handle prolonged stress placed on it such as walking a lot. I would recommend that you go see an orthopedic doctor to have your ankle looked at and then go see a physical therapist. Even if this gets better on its own in the next couple of days it does not mean that it wont come back again...get this fixed correctly now.

maybe you should see a doctor. i cant think of any reason why your foot might be fractured, since you dont mention any accident that could have caused this. there is however a million things that could be wrong, and most ppl on here (including me) know nothing about medicine so u shud probably ask a doctor

The bruising and swelling is certainly cause for concern, and you are smart to realize that something happening in only one foot is unusual. It might be good to get it checked by a doctor.

Soak it in Epsom Salt and that will make it feel better.
