Tape and good socks. Sorry, but this is the only thing you can do. The tape will be place around adjoining toes to keep it in place and help protect it. The sock....just a little more protection.

You need to go to your local drug store, and get a hard sole shoe. No need in seeing a doctor because there is nothing you can do for a broken toe, it would just be a waste of your time and his. Also, sometimes buddy taping your toes together helps (which means taping your pinky toe to the fourth one) and it will keep it from moving around if its hurting.
If you have swelling you need to keep it elevated and take something like Aleve or Advil (but not both) to reduce the inflammation.

First of all put ice on it for 15 to 20 minutes and then leave it off for 15 to 20 minutes. Alternate for the first day. After the first day, you can soak your foot in very warm epson salts water. Take ibuprophen for the pain and inflammation. Elevate your foot whenever possible. Tape the little toe to your next toe to stabalize it. Some say the best thing is to start wearing shoes with enclosed toes immediately. I usually just wear flip flops because it doesn't hurt as badly. Hope this helps and your toe heals quickly.

nothing you CAN wear, really. I broke (i think) my pinky toe when I was about 8 yrs. old. I didn't think it was any big deal so I never even told my mom. By bedtime my pinky was THROBBING so bad, and it kept getting snagged on my blankets. The only thing I thought about doing was putting on about 5 pairs of (tube) socks on my foot! It worked . . . go figure. But during the day, I think you'd be able to tape your pinky to your other toe(s), using medical tape. Right? I mean, I see football players with tape on their fingers all the time! It's just a thought . . .

When I broke my pinky toe my doctor tape my toe to the next one and I wore a pair of Timberland boots until it heal. I wore the boots because of the hard bottom that would flex easy when I bent my toes.

Nothing, you are practically stuck. Wear whatever is comfortable, if flip flops are all you can handle then wear those otherwise loose socks and supportive shoes.

, Doctors cannot fix broken toes, they will send you home with nothing but a bill. (Unless it is totally sideways or at an unnatural angle, they can reset the bone so it mends straight) , but no cast or anything like that.

I broke mine a few months ago. I didn't wear anything. There is nothing that can be done about it. You can either tape it to the next toe for stability while it heals, or see if the doc can fit you with a boot. I just sucked it up and waited for it to heal.

Ouch..l've broken my little toe twice. I just wrapped it or put a sock on with no shoes or and open toed sandal. You don't have many options and the doctor can't do anything. It sucks. Hope you heal soon!
