Well i have a basic idea what is is it's inflammation of the cartledge between the ribcage and the breastbone, but i can't seem to get rid of the pain and inflammation. Been to the ER 4 times and my doctor a handful of times. I've taken anti-inflammatories, motrin (in many different mgs),. pain killers such as loratabs and darvocets (tabs only help disguise the pain for a short time), heat and cold, etc. The problem is i'm a customer service phone agent and have been out of work over 2 weeks, and can't afford to continue to be out, only thing is the one time i tried to go back after an hour on the phone my chest hurt so bad i felt like i was going to die. Any suggestions or ideas on how to help treat this or legitimate ways to make money so that i don't lose my car, home and not be able to pay my bills.

Every so often, usually a few times a day, I will feel stabbing pains with no explicable cause. My left ribcage, sides of my lower back, chest, head, wrist, and abdomen are just some of the spots. Is this normal?

I regularly crack my knuckles when I am bored. I also crack my toes when I take my shoes off. Sometimes it hurts when I do that. Should I stop?

I was at a track meet and i got sunburned pretty bad. Its been less than a day and im peeling already but I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to lessen the appearance of the sunburn because our track uniforms left a really weird mark all over me. I would appreciate any suggestions you have!

I've read a lot of advice on Answers concerning conucussions. Last night I got punched and kicked in the head a few times. The person attacking me was very small and weak. Today I feel a little dazed and lightheaded, and when i move my head around it makes me feel slightly dizzier. A lot of people on Yahoo! Answers say that one should go to the emergency room immediately. Can I just see my regular doctor? If I do have a concussion or confusion, how will I be treated? How do doctors usually deal with this? My understanding is that I should just refrain from sports and dangerous activity. Please be elaborate with respones, all advice is GREATLY appreciated.

2 questions:

If i burn myself and i feel the pain...its a good thing right? If i dont feel pain that means my nerves are dead. So this is a good thing if i feel right?

If i ever Did burn my nerves, would they ever regenerate again?

I have had low back pain for the past 4 years. I want to go to a physician so that I can start physical therapy and look at other measures to help relieve the pain and hopefully find a way to stop it all together.

My question is: What kind of physician should I seek help from?

Over the past couple of days, I did a lot of biking. Now my right kneecap seems to move around an awful lot. It doesn't hurt much (only the type of ache associated with excercise), it is just kind of weird that it moves around so much (my left kneecap does not).

This morning I woke up with a very bad headache, even though I had taken Aleve five hours ago. I had pain in my neck, shoulders and temples, as well as a little nausea. Is there anything better than Aleve, or does anyone know of any home remedies out there? I'll try anything at this point!

I'm looking for which air cervical traction collars that you wear around your neck so you can get up and do things and not have to be stuck in one place. I've seen the brown 3 layer collars and the blue 5 and 7 layer collars, both which you pump up with air. Any suggestions on which one works better or best, if either do? Thank you so much in advance for your time...

To relieve my back pain

I have to do some stretching and lying on the floor is relaxing as well.

Does this mean that massage will be effective for my back.

Or can the stretching exercise replace the massage

Thanks for any feedback

My symptoms started 10 mths ago, woke up one morning w/ what felt like electrical shocks going through my body, I was tingling all over, went to ER and said Anxiety, to make my first story short, I was this way for 6 wks, no energy, really weak, tingling, pins & needles but no numbness, did a brain & c-spine mri both normal, neuro said anxiety. My symptoms after 6 weeks went away on their own. Now, 10 months later, I have tingling, pins and needles, eye pain, that came for some time and left, when I swallow it feels like a lump in my throat, floaters, I had trouble focusing with my eyes for a few days but it went away, muscle weakness, fatigue, face tingles, at night sometimes I'll have some involunitary movements, & just in the last few days I have started to say my words that have "th" in it thicker, my legs feel like I've ran a marathon and are real sore, did another brain mri normal, lyme-neg, all blood tests normal, my finger get numb overnight but go away when I awake, is this ms?

Hi.

Can anyone refer me to some sites that explain either why toothpaste is good for a burn (since it makes the stinging sensation go away) or why it's bad for your skin (for various reasons)?

Thanks.

the doctor said i shouldn't do any strenuous exercise for 2 weeks cuz i apparantly hurt my knee in a basketball game and shouldn't have been running afterwards. I was wondering if there was anything that is fun to do that isn't really exercising but will get my energy out. please help.
