Every so often, usually a few times a day, I will feel stabbing pains with no explicable cause. My left ribcage, sides of my lower back, chest, head, wrist, and abdomen are just some of the spots. Is this normal?

The frequency you describe is not normal -- had you said once or twice a month, then I would have said that it is more than most people get. But a few times a day is not common. Do you have any other symptoms, like tingling (pins and needles), numbness, headaches, imbalance, vision or hearing changes?

If you notice something unusual lately then obviously it's not normal. Go to your physician now before it's too late.
