General Health Care - November 2006

What does it mean to have cold hands? Even if I have a heater blowing on me at work, my hands are always cold. I'm normally a little cold, but my hands are like ice cubes! What is this caused from (health issue or lacking a vitamin??) and anyone know how to help this? Thanks!

They need to come out *today* but can't get to the doctor's office. I would:

1) Sterilize scissors
2) Cover w/ Band Aid and antibiotic ointment when finshed

It healed up really well and it is only TWO stitches.

I have a pain in the upper right hand part of my back right next to my spine. The pain itself is livable except for pain that comes when I breathe deeply. Can a strained back muscle cause difficulty breathing or could it be something in my lungs?

i was in at the docs and told i had broncitus, i was given pills and that was 3 days ago, and told if my chest pain worsened togo in. so it did yesterday got really bad and spread from my right breat side, up to my shoulder and into the back. i went in and of course it was a different doc on call, and he didnt even check me, he says ohhh you must have lifted something to heavy and pulled a muscle, if thats what happened fine! but he didnt even look at me? so today i have the chest pain, not as bad, more a pressure and its tight to breath, and now im nauseous and actually did get sick once, and have a bit of a headache...is this normal broncular symtoms, or could it be something else? the only way im gonnag et seen by a doc is if i go into the hospital but i've spent so much time in docs offices i dont wanna go if its nothing..i know alot of serious things can happen with chest but seen as how its been a good 4 days if it was gonna hppen it would have already right? im F 27 smoker

i've never gotten the flu shot.

i can't even tell you if i've ever even had the flu. if i have....i can't even tell you the last time it was.

a co-worker of mine end up getting the flu after she got the shot. Now she won't get them anymore.

I have a brother and him and his wife plus their two kids live in the same house as my dad and I, But the kids are going on 2 and 3 and my brother lets one kid sleep in the bed with him and his wife and the other sleeps in the crib. The problem is they have 2 big dogs that also sleep with them and sh**s all over and they sleep in that room with the dog poo and old molded food.. Can someone tell me where I can find on the internet about the law of families living in the same house, but the child of different sex sleep all in the same room..

I guess I have a hard time understanding our health care system and especially hospitals. One time I went to the hospital to the emergency room for a possible broken wrist. I was there for about 1-1 1/2 hours. After sitting for a long time I was finally given an xray. Then a doctor looked at the xray and then an ace bandage was wrapped around my wrist as it was not broken but a bad sprain. In all I would say the doctor was in my presence maybe 5 minutes. And a nurse maybe another 5 minutes. A couple weeks later I received a bill from the hospital fro $3500.

This past september I was in a central american country and had to go to the emergency room of a hospital as I was having congestion one night and could hardly breathe while sleeping. They put me on a respirator for about 45 minutes and I was checked thoroughly by both a doctor and a nurse. Then I was given an okay to leave. Total time maybe 1 1/2 hours. I went to pay clerk and my bill was $50. You tell me about gouging?

my contact lense broke in my eye.. when i took it off i saw that the middle piece was missing and one of my eyes were blurry than the other. i could also see kind of on my blurry eye because i think a piece of contact lense is stuck but i can't seem to take it out. this happened this morning. i wear acuvue 2 brand contact lenses

I played football last Sunday with some friends. I went to sleep and woke up Monday with a horrible head ache and it is now Thrusday and it only got worse. Also (I don't know if this has anything to do with it) I've been going to bed at like 9:30 10:00 and wake up at 6:30 for work but I am dead tired. Is this bad or just a bad head ache?

I am always tired. I can hardly ever stay awake even though I have to. I'm almost disfunctional. I have absolutly no energy. I could sleep for 10 hours straight & still sleep more. Does anyone know of any reasons for this?

upper body pain from soreness or feels like a ucler sharp pain on right side of stomach and pain all over stomach, like gas , but none. The pain comes and goes,especially before I eat, and after I eat something the pain goes away, for awhile than comes back . Whats the problem?

I just had an ingrown toenail removed and I wondered epsom salts actually do. Do they have antiseptic qualities. I have heard it will increase blood flow to the area, but what benefit will it give my aching toe.
