Sometimes. It depends on the insurance. Some insurances will allow you to cover an individual +1 or 2 at the same cost as family insurance. Most of the time, you would need to be married.

More than likely, no. I am the group health insurance administrator for our business. The insurance we have, Anthem, will only cover spouse or children. I have never heard of a health insurance policy that will let you cover a girlfriend/boyfriend, much less their children. However, I'm sure there are lots of different rules with different carriers.

No because you most likely have a single person policy. The only way health insurance will cover someone else is if you add them to your plan.

Every insurance company has different policies so it's best to check with them. My husbands insurance for example allows anyone he claims as a dependant to be on his policy.

I doubt it. Most insurance companies are very strict about who they cover. If you and your girlfriend live together, you may want to check into it, as there may be exceptions for people who co-habitate.

As long as your girlfriend is your girlfriend and NOT your wife, her child would not be covered --- UNLESS her child is also your biological child and you have family coverage. If you only have single coverage, only you are covered by your insurance.

Not unless they are legally part of your family or you have named them to your policy.
My mother married her 2nd husband mainly to qualify for his health insurace as she needed emergency eye surgery. Flew to Las Vegas, got married, flew home and into the hospital.

If it isn't your daughter, I think not. Marry your girlfriend and then her daughter should qualify for coverage.
