I suffered from this as well. What I did is set a sleeping schedule. I now get seven to eight hours of sleep a night. I started walking for about 30 minutes to a hour, Exercise does help a lot. It raises your blood sugar so you get more energy. Its working for me. I hope it works for you as well. IF you have a dog take him out for a walk and you will be killing two birds with one stone.

Renee, I have absolutely the same condition and people don't realize how debilitating and discouraging this can be to a person who has it. I have gone to several doctors, psychologists and Psychiatrists--none of them have been able to help. I have often slept 3 days in a row getting up just minimally to eat something--but some times being too tired to eat. The doctors say I have "hypersomnia" (the oposite of insomnia) Some doctors think it might be Narcolepsy although I do not suddenly collapse in a heap fast asleep for no apparant reason. I call it the "Rip Van Winkle Syndrom" -you know the guy who fell asleep for a hundred years. The doctors have me on stimulants. The only way I can stay awake is to take 3 of those capsules about three hours before my wake up time and wash it down with coffee, then drink coffee when I get up--it's ruining my nerves, my left hand shakes. Some possibilities for you--get a blood test and see if you have mononucleiosis (mono). You might also have sleep apnea where throughout the night you stop breathing for short periods of time--leaving you exhausted. I read that the CDC now has not only recognized CFS-Chronic Fatigue Syndrom as a disease, it says it is one of the fastests growing diseases in America. Unfortunately, many physicians, including the ones I have had--don't believe in it. The physical doctors say it's psychologfical and the psychological doctors say it's physical. I am disabled now, but it was very hard for me in school-falling asleep in class, dozing during tests--and then in work -falling asleep in meetings etc. I hope they find some remedy during your life time and that you don't have to fight this your whole life.
Well, gotta go take a nap! Only you know that I am not kidding.

Depression may present as fatigue, but I suspect that if this were the case you would report more symptoms than having no energy. Thyroid disorders may present this way, and a simple blood test is definitive. The most common circumstance, however, is rest deprivation. The body is not concered with how much you sleep, but rather whether or not the sleep is restorative. Rest deprivation is endemic in this country, but fortunately, there are inexpensive solutions.

You need to see the doctor about this. You could be anemic or even have narcolepsy if it is severe. No one on here can tell you why you are tired and have no energy without examining you and doing some blood tests etc.

Something could be wrong with your Thyroid. You should get that checked. Also, have you been eating your veggies? That always helps. Excercising can help as well just because it gets you moving.

I am going to take a wild guess and assume you dont work out. Also I would suggest a good multi vitamin, less carbs and more protein.

Those are primary symptoms of having a problem with your thyroid. I would definately get it checked out.
