Call that doctors office right away, and tell them you have to see him as soon as you can get in there. Tell them you are feeling very sick, or anything to get back in to see him. When you get in there, don't be a smart @ss, but tell him "We need to do something different here, because I'm having more problems than I did when I came in here before". There is no reason why he shouldn't order a chest x-ray, and put you on some antibiotics. If you have tightness when breathing, that could be from an infection setting up. Don't take any chances. He won't be offended by you coming back, and he may not charge you IF you tell him "what we are doing isn't working, and I can't keep spending money that I don't have here". This will work... He will think you are dissatisfied with his incompetence, and do what is right this time. He doesn't want a law suit. Good Luck!!!

Truthfully it does just sound like a pulomary infection. Sounds like pneumonia, any coughing or wheezing? But as I am a nurse, the symptoms you describe could also be related to cardiac diseases. It you were to go to the emergency room with those complaints, you'd be seen right away and given an ECG and blood work as soon as possible. Its rare to have heart disease in someone so young, but being a smoker increases chances of high blood pressure which in the long run can give you some heart problems. Also, when there is chronic lung diseases (Good chance thats the case being a smoker) the symptoms can appear becasue the lung disease directly effects your heart! SO....get the the ER and be evaluated. What if for some reason you are buliding up to a heart attack? Better safe than sorry.

Wow. It turns out like your describing anything very similar to what I skilled as a child and on occasion as an grownup. I get the ones achy, sharp suffering in my chest / rib field. Often the suffering is slight however regularly it is so dangerous I can barley take a breath. It additionally feels find it irresistible begins on the backside of my rib cage after which travels up my aspect because it slowly is going away. I used to be instructed by means of my healthcare professional it used to be "developing" pains. Then while I used to be older, I introduced it up once more and he stated it would be a muscle unsolicited mail. It's been months because I've had one. With me, the suffering handiest final a couple of seconds and on the such a lot a minute or 2. They additionally handiest look to occur a couple of times in an afternoon while i do have them. I might advise that in the event that they arise extra usually, more than one occasions in an afternoon I'd see anyone approximately it. It would be not anything or it would be anything (variety of noticeable reply).

http://www.cbc.ca/health/story/2006/11/16/bronchitis-antibiotics.html

Here is an article that shows what some of us in medicine already knew; antibiotics, which I'm sure you were given, are not effective for most bronchitis infections. Most infections by bronchitis are viral; the only thing to do is to treat the symptoms and stay as healthy as possible. If you are getting pain, you may be getting pneumonia. They should do an x-ray on you.

You are also not helping. There are tiny hairs in our lungs called cilia that normally push things out of the lungs and we expel them by coughing them out. If you smoke, the cilia abnormally push things back into your lungs which could make infections worse. You need an xray because if pneumonia goes untreated, you could end up hospitalized on oxygen, or worse yet on a ventilator or even die. Dont' waste time and tell them your chest and back hurt very bad and that your somewhat short of breath. This will cause them to do an xray just to make sure.

Good luck and I hope you feel better.

I would go back it sounds like something else is going on. I've had bronchitis before nd the only time my chest hurt was from coughing too much and I think I cracked a rib from the coughing and the only time I threw up was when I coughed so hard it made me throw up. If this is what is happening to you then it could be the bronchitis otherwise I would suggest to get seen again.

I would go back to the dr and tell them that you were seen a few days ago and the dr on call told you that if you started to have chest pains to come back in. Tell him that you want to be checked out b/c you think that there is something wrong and you want to find out for sure. Chest pain could be from alot of different things.

2 things. First your Bronchitis has turned into phenomena. Or you have had a stroke. The Dr.that examined you must be a idiot
You could have a problem with your lungs since you are a smoker. She not be smoking anyway if you are taking medicines for Bronchitis this could cause a lot of side effects.

Before going to emergency call and see if the Dr. you first saw is on duty then go in and ask for him. He is the one you need to see.

Well...you're young...but that still doesn't stop the fact that you MAY have something else wrong with you more than a pulled muscle. Those symptoms you described are symptoms of a heart attack. I wouldn't just wait around. You never know...and the longer you wait, the worse it gets. I thin for your own peace of mind you should go to the ER and let a doctor check you out.

uh time to get another doctor. too many times doctors have misdiagnosed someone and it ended up in a serious situation.

if you're not being taken seriously by this shlock see another doctor show them the pills tell them what's going on...

make sure they take tests, xrays and get you scanned...

it may be nothing than the usual or it's a prelude to a more serious situation.

when i was laid up in icu i was next to a woman they just didn't take seriously until she fell near death in lung cancer.... first they said it was just a cold.. then the flu... then she pulled a muscle then she was just being stupid.. finally she coughed up blood and collapsed.. they took her to a good hospital and found out she had full blown lung cancer and rushed her to get hooked to tubes and drain her out... so they prep her for an operation or something... they messed with her so long and didn't really look at her.. i'm unsure how she is doing.. she was a mess.

so.. don't let some lazy jerk ruin you...

seek.. find those who will check you over just to make sure.

too many times we're bombarded by bad doctors... it's too easy to get misdiagnosed.

You need to have it rechecked, it sounds like the infection has worsened and of course smoking will aggravate it. My suggestion, visit the ER. Don't let it go much longer, I am not trying to diagnose, but I have heard of symptoms like this and people who have had them were diagnosed with pleurisy. Pleurisy hurts like HECK!! It is important that you have it checked, if you let it go much longer, it could turn to pneumonia if it hasn't already. Chill on the smokes for a while too.
