If you have never had a shot or not have one in 5 years, it is wise to have one. But most likely, there is no danger from the shaving unless it contained rust.
Tetanus shots help protect the body from foreign substances which are mostly caused by rusty metals and metals containing bacteria.

Unless the item contained a pathogen called clostridium tetani, which is what the tetnus shot is for, i wouldn't recommend it have you seen those shots?! Haha no i'm kidding. Seriously, unless it was contaminated with soil, or rusted, there's no risk. Are you a female or male? If your a male you have already taken your shot. If your a female, then you are going to take 5 boosters before your pregnant anyways, and then you'll be 99% immunized for life! Imagine. Anyways if it was in your house i highly doubt that it was contaminated with the pathogen. If your unsure goto the hospital and perform an examination, good luck!

It depends on when you last tetnus shot was. If you last one was less than 7 years ago your are fine but if it has been over 7 years since the last one then yes you need to get one.

generally if it wasnt out doors and rusty theres not a huge risk of tetnus. However, if you are due for a tetnus booster you might as well go get one since its on your mind.

If you were an anti tetanus, don't bother anymore but be sure the effectivity of the immnunization is not expire... If doubt btter have a shot of anti-tetanu,,, prevention is better than cure.

Clean(as in bright and shiny?) or rusty? If it was clean metal I wouldn't think about it (though I HATE needles!) ;-)=
