Unless you have had an obvious blow to the head, there is nothing apart from a bite from something like a horsefly that would cause swelling and pain. Go to A&E and get it checked asap!

wow i actually have the same problem i don't know why its when i turn to the left my lower back of my head hurts on the left
i think you'll just have tilt your head to the opposite side for a while it should ease a bit but i don't know try it anyway its kind of working for me
