I was a frequent smoker before (7 to 10 a day). But now I smoke 1 or 2 a week. Does that really hurt me? I have high cholesterol and triglycerides. I just want to know how bad it will effect my body?

I've been coughing the past few days: a croup-like cough that produces yellow mucous. It is accompanied by a sore throat, minor difficulty breathing, fatigue, rattling in my chest when I breathe, and mild fever. Someone at work had a similar infection, and I assumed viral bronchitis. I went to the doctor, who listened to my lungs and declared I had sinusitis because I had sinusitis around the same time last year. The doc out me on steroids and an antibiotic. I'm pretty sure I don't have sinusitis, but I'm not sure if I need a second opinion. Do I?

Hi everyone!

Yeah, my doctor diagnosed me with GORD is that GERD? Anyway, I am taking Nexium for it. I am having a flare-up for the past 4 days. I think it was the juicing that triggered off my symptoms again! I was doing OK for a month and then I went onto juicing and it started up. I think I have to wait for it to die down and take good care of myself. I am exercising (trying to lose a few pounds) and eating relatively healthy now. I didn't eat unhealthy to begin with but my diet could do with a bit of changing. But I have to stay away from acidic/spicy foods and drink. I can't drink coffee anymore (I used to) and I can't drink wine (I used to) and I can't eat whatever I want to anymore! Sucks a bit I guess but I'll get used to it. My stomach is still burning slightly but I do have PMT can that also contribute? Might huh! Right before I get my cycle my body plays up. I am a 28 year old relatively healthy female.

The last three weeks I've had bronchitis and a sinus infection but am on the tail end of my second round of antibiotics. All syptoms are gone EXCEPT my nasal passages closing when I lie down at night. My left is the worst culprit. I've already had surgery for a deviated septum and this wasn't happening before I got sick. Up to last night, I had taken Afrin (which is lovely) for about 5 nights (none during the day) but I know you're not supposed to take it more than 5 days or your sinuses become dependant on it. I didn't sleep at all last night from dry-mouth and snoring myself awake (dont normally snore either). Nothing is draining from my sinuses (for instance when I blow my nose) and they open back up (at least partially) when I get up. Any ideas on what I can do? Due to the severe nature of my bronc/sinus infection I've already spent over $200 between dr visits and meds. I realllly dont want to go back if I dont have to.

Hi there,
I've had this condition for about 2 weeks now. It started with a runny nose, then about 3 days later I got a sore throat which was not really bad and my lymph nodes got really swollen as well. I kept getting a runny nose in the morning and before going to sleep at night, at a day time it wasn't really bad. For these past 2 weeks I did not have any fever though. After about a week I went to a doctor and she prescribed an antibiotic which I've been taking for a week and today was the last day. Even though I still have a sore throat still and also this dry cough which started about 5 days ago. Also I noticed for the past 10 days or so I've been sweating a lot at night and it never happened to me before, not unless it was really hot. Also today I got a result of my blood test which was done at the time I went to a doctor and she said everything is normal except for my blood chemistry was too high which she said means I have a high vitamin concentration.

I had pe last week, and I was wondering how long the convalescence should be. I was in the hopsital emergency room for 2 days and as soon as the blood clot was gone, they told me to go home and didn't give me any time off from work. I took Monday off and today I tried going to work but ended finishing the day at lunchtime, I was so exhausted that I slept all afternoon afterwards. Is this normal? Has anyone every had PE?
