I'm tired of the doctors saying it will pass. He's NOT coughing so hard to vomit. I'm not even sure if both symptoms are related. He does NOT have a virus, nobody around him is sick. He only throws once a day or every other.

Our 10 mo old has a nasty cold and is all congested. We've tried saline, suctioning, decongestant drops, and a vaporizer, all of which provide temporary relief but don't keep her sleeping at night. Someone suggested adding Vicks Vaposteam to the vaporizer to clear up her airways. I've never tried it before and am a little skeptical, number one because I'm not sure that stuff really works and number two because the package indicates checking with your doctor if the child is under two. I know that camphor is some nasty stuff if ingested, but I'm not sure if such a small amount could be dangerous when breathed in all night. I'm not having any luck searchign the 'net for the answer, so I thougth I'd ask if any of you have heard anything about the subject, either from your doc or pharmacist...Thanks!!

For as ong as I can remember, i have only been able to breathe out of one nostril at a time. My dad suggested deviated septum, but that would mean that it's always the same nostril that I can't breathe out of right? Please help.

i have tried everything! counting to 30 holding my breath, drinking gallons(or it seems...:-}) of water, and both togherthor. Any other technices that defently work or if i should do somthing. since the first time it started it has came on and of 4 times

Constant complaint is rib pain , I heard a pop and the pain has not stop . Dr sent for chest xray friday ...Radio/lab sent him report 3 yesterday , Called was told he has not read it . Tell nurse hard time breathing ,chest pain killing me . No call back . Called today
spoke with nurse , ask about xray , she says they had not recd it . But would have dr read complaint about breathing , coughing and rib pain . 455 pm recd call . He faxed into CVS a pearl cough med , pain killer and advair ..Quess what there is not a CVS in my county with my script . Question to Dr who do I report this neglect too. I will be looking for a new Family DR ASAP , So tonight still in pain , harsh cough and pain . Living on abrutrol . PS called answering service and was told there was no number to contact anyone .

I haven't seen a specialist yet because my GP is dealing with me for the time being but refuses to do an endoscopy! I think juicing has triggered a flare-up now for the past 3 days and I am suffering. I took 20mg Nexium this morning but tonight the acid has come back twice as bad so I had to take a Prilosec 40mg because I just can't put up with this burning sick/dull ache in my stomach. It's so bloated tonight and I haven't had a flare-up this bad in months! I feel SICK with my stomach tonight. I'm sorry for complaining but I just feel like crying because I'm in so much pain with this and sometimes I wake up and there's blood on my pillow and I told my doctor who is a specialist in the stomach but he didn't seem too concerned and I had a check up from the dentist and it's not due to a tooth/gum problem. My boyfriend has sleep apnea and snores. It has gotten progressively worse. I am not sure what to do. it seems when i elbow him, he stops temporarily but not long enough for me to fall alseep. It is often so back that it not only prevents me from sleeping but, once i fall asleep, it wakes me up again. HELP!

Thanks everyone for your help. Yes I've been tested for H. Pylori and it came back negative. I don't smoke, drink and I try to eliminate spicy foods now. I am taking Nexium 20mg once a day but sometimes twice because the pain is too much for me to handle. I burp and have lots of wind and I drink only water throught out the day. I have one cup of tea in the morning. I was juicing fresh celery, apples, and grapes so perhaps my stomach didn't like that? My acid died down for a while until I started juicing. But isn't fruit and veg supposed to be good for one? Please help me because my doc doesn't want to know! I have this sick/hungry feeling in my stomach and it just plain old aaches. Does anyone else have these symptoms? Christine

Hi, I finally quit smoking after 13 years and many failed attempts. I am thirty right now. While I do understand there will always be some residual damage, I was wondering if there were any supplements, herbals, or anything special I could do to repair the lung damage more quickly. I have a strong family history of cardivascular disease. My father developed heart trouble in his forties and died in his early fifties and I am beginning to realize that I need to start keeping an eye on my own health now.

I have had this cold 3 or more times. The first two times it lasted 2 or 3 days and was relatively short but draining. This is the third time, and it is by far the worst. I'm going through the coughing-up-phlegm stages and it hurts to cough so much. I wake up tense and bruised in the mornings. I'm just so tense thanks to all the coughing- I have to regularly stretch it out and rub my shoulders to prevent things from getting too bad. The cold is going away now, but I'm afraid it's going to come back if I get stressed again from school/being worried for people. Are there any ways I could boost my immune system to prevent this without messing up my excitable, acid reflexive stomach? I'm just exhausted. Maybe I need more sleep?

About a month ago my asthma got really bad, I mean bad. When it happened I was at a relatives house in the boonies, so I had to suffer for a while before getting to a doctor. I don't know why, my mom insist its because of my weight, but why would I all of a sudden get so bad. The doctor said he thought I had a touch of pneumonia even though I wasn't coughing. I am scared because I think he is not taking me seriously. I really feel like something is wrong. I can't hardly walk places without my lungs seizing up. My inhaler isn't helping half the time, its really bad. Any ideas?
