For as ong as I can remember, i have only been able to breathe out of one nostril at a time. My dad suggested deviated septum, but that would mean that it's always the same nostril that I can't breathe out of right? Please help.

That is normal. It is called the "nasal cycle:"

Please see an ENT doctor, It could be sinus infections, at least you'd know.
