I don't have any idea why this happens, but everytime my son gets excited, or is wrestling with daddy... and Everytime he starts laughing, everytime he inhales he makes a bad gasping sound... He doesn't have asthma, and there is no wheezing in his chest, but he does this all the time... What could be causing this??? I am concerned because he has never had this problem before, and it is only when he is exerting himself.... (that is why I had previously though about asthma.) He is 2 years old, and has a clean medical history, other than reoccuring ear infections.. (which have been taken care of with tubes...) He is not getting a cold, nor has he been sick.. Any ideas thank you.

Back in October I had bronchitis really bad and my doctor prescribed me an albuterol inhaler. I didnt need to use it that much when I was sick, and I still have some left. I have found that when I have a really bad allergy attack ( like when my chest feels hot and heavy and itchy from dog dander and i cant stop coughing) that one puff on the inhaler calms me right down. Is it ok to use it like this occasionally? How does it work?

I get about 6 hours of sleep with my machine. The first couple of weeks, it felt like I had a lot more energy, but lately I find myself wanting to take naps again and have a hard time staying awake.

Every once in a while, my friend buses home from work with me. The bus is usually full by the time we get on, and there is a faint smell of cigarette smoke on him when he sits next to me. I am a non-smoker and as far as I know I'm pretty healthy, so am I being affected by the smell of smoke he carries in any way? (He smokes about half a pack a day)

Has anybody ever gone to sleep with a throat lozenge in your mouth when you have a cold or a sore throat at night? Well just a word of caution. I know someone who did this this past weekend, the lozenge went down her wind pipe while she slept and even after paramedics came and they did a traik...? where they cut open your thoat to try to help you breath, she choked to death. So I know this is something I have done several times when I go to sleep and I am ill. Thought I would share this with you so no one else will die in such a needless way.

I always sleep with an aircon or electric fan at night (coming from tropical country) and wake up in the middle of the night with a painful feeling at the back of my throat, there also seems to be some phlegm stuck.
How can I prevent it for a better night's sleep? Im afraid dehumidifyers are not common here.

I think it will be fantastic to not have smoking in pubs and resturants, Ireland was a pleasure and nobody seemed to mind, they just stepped outside.

Today Mom had a brief loss of vision and hearing for about 10 seconds then she went into a panic attack. Is this part of a panic attack? I am new to all of this, and would appreciate any info on this. Mom has had these attacks now for 2 years, and they are so horrible for her, and they scare me so much when she has them. She has copd and emphazema also. Thanks for any info.
