This very hard to do, but it does cure a sore throat - which is a virus. Suck on Menthal cough drops for at least 2 days - go thru a whole bag. If you can stomach this, the sore throat will go away.

The traditional way is warm water salt gargle. I have also taken a shot of whiskey and followed it with a tbsp of brown sugar. Also you could try hot water with lemon and honey and an aspirin all dissolved in it. These all work for me. Get well soon.

1/2 cup hot water, 1/2 lemon squeezed in it, and 3 Tbs. honey. Drink it as hot as you can stand it.
Do this every 3-4 hours, it not on;y works but it tastes good.

Gargle with salt in warm water. Its the best cure I have tried so far, you can keep your over the counter remedies they all suck!

gargle with warm water and salt. add salt till the water is salty. it works and to sooth it you can put some honey in a spoon and let some lemon drip on it.

drink ginger beer
gargle with sage
make a hot drink with crushed ginger root, teaspoon honey and juice half lemon or lime
gargle with salt water - this ones is icky tho - deperate measure only

honey in warm water! get a cup of warm/hot water and put 1-2 dollops of water and mix well, drink it down and it soothes your throat.

Don't drink orange juice or acidic drinks. Suck on blackcurrant throat lozengers.Hope you get better soon!!

Take honey it's a natural antibiotic always helps me.
